Mumbai: Amid the new wave of COVID-19, the Maharashtra government recently released new guidelines for coronavirus, making it mandatory to take RT-PCR test every 15 days for those who take part in shooting of films and TV serials. Now, under the same guidelines of the film and TV industry, ABP News has come to know that about 15000 people connected to the industry have done their RT-PCR test and 9000 people have received their COVID-19 reports.

President J.D, Majethia, President of Indian Film and TV Producers Council (IFTPC) told in a special conversation with ABP News, “The decision to do the RT-PCR test every 15 days is part of the new corona guidelines of the Maharashtra government for shooting, under which an estimated 15000 people have been tested so far. In these, test reports have come from 9000 people, whose data and results have been shared by the IFTPC with the government.”

He further added, “In full compliance with the test guidelines of the Government of Maharashtra for 15 days, further tests will be conducted for all the people involved in the making of films, TV and web shows and people testing positive will be kept in isolation until recovered.”

“We have proposed the government that if they want, we are ready to conduct tests of all the people related to industry shooting, pre-production and post production in 7 days instead of 15 days”, said Majethia.
