Son of six-time Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh, Vikramaditya Singh is the Congress candidate from Shimla Rural seat. His father won the seat in the 2012 assembly elections. Vikramaditya Singh won the Shimla Rural seat in 2017 by defeating BJP's Dr. Pramod Sharma by a margin of 4,880 votes. In the 2022 elections, he will be up against BJP's Ravi Mehta and AAP's Prem Thakur.
