Punjab Election 2022: CM Channi Announces Rs 1100 Per Month For Women If Voted To Power, Know More

Punjab Elections: CM Charanjit Singh Channi said that he will give 8 gas cylinders free of cost every year if the Congress government is formed. He also promised to give Rs 1,100 per month to needy women.

Punjab Assembly Election 2022: Campaigning is in full swing in view of the assembly elections in Punjab. The ruling party Congress and all the opposition parties are engaged in making promises that will lure the public.

Many promises are being made to woo voters along with making accusations during the campaign.

Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi has promised to give free gas cylinders to the people on the return of the Congress government.

The Chief Minister, giving special importance, said that the poor and needy women will be given financial assistance.

Promise to give 8 gas cylinders free of cost

The Punjab Chief Minister has made an announcement that if the Congress government comes to power again in the state, then the government will give 8 gas cylinders to the people free of cost every year.

Along with this, Chief Minister Channi has promised to give a sum of Rs 1100 every month to poor and needy women as financial assistance.

Earlier on Saturday, Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi had arrived in Barnala to campaign for Congress candidate Manish Bansal.

During this time, he had said that the people of Barnala unanimously want the Congress party to be victorious. He had claimed that this time the Congress government is going to be formed in the state.

Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi had also targeted Captain Amarinder, Aam Aadmi Party convener Arvind Kejriwal and Bhagwant Mann during the campaign on Saturday.

After leaving Congress, under the former Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh leadership the Punjab Lok Congress is contesting the elections in the state in alliance with the BJP and the Shiromani Akali Dal Sanyukta jointly. 117 assembly seats in Punjab will go to the polls on February 20.

Votes will be counted on March 10.
