Unleashing a fiery salvo against the Congress party, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday accused the grand old party of harbouring animosity towards Hindus and their festivals, alleging that it aims to marginalise Hindus in their own country. Slamming Congress, PM Modi asked people while addressing a gathering in Telangana’s Mahudhnagar, “If you want to visit Ayodhya and celebrate Ram Navami, are you anti-India?”

“Congress hates Hindus and Hindu festivals so much that it is now being exposed daily. The shahzada's guru even went ahead to say that the Ram Temple should not have been built. he went on to say that the construction of Ram Temple and celebrating Ram Navami is anti-India, it is against the idea of India,” the PM said.

“If you want to visit Ayodhya and celebrate Ram Navami, are you anti-India? Congress wants to make Hindus second-class citizens in their own country. Is this why they talk about vote-jihad,” he added.

The Prime Minister further said, “Congress is fully involved in giving the reservation of SC, ST, and OBC to Muslims on the basis of religion... Remember one thing, 'Vanchit ka jo adhikaar hai, Modi uska chaukidar hai'”.

'Photo Copy' Of BRS: PM Modi Slams Congress's Govt In Telangana

Turning his attention to Telangana’s political landscape, PM Modi criticised both the Bhartiya Rashtra Samithi (BRS) and Congress, labelling them as “selfish parties” that exploited the people of Telangana for their own gains.

“BRS and Congress have been very selfish parties. They used the people of Telangana to serve their own interests,” PM Modi asserted, accusing Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy of neglecting the needs of the state in favour of “pleasing” the central leadership of his party.

Further targeting CM Revanth Reddy, PM referenced the row surrounding the “RR Tax”, saying that Reddy’s reaction to the issue indicated his involvement.

“Although I have been talking about 'RR Tax' for a few days, I didn't specifically take anyone's name. But see, Telangana's CM provided clarification before the media about this 'RR Tax'. This implies that he himself accepts that he is connected with this very matter,” PM Modi remarked.

PM Modi also lambasted the Reddy-led Telangana government for failing to deliver on its promises, likening it to a “photo copy” of the BRS and accusing it of perpetuating the same corruption that “plagued” the state under the BRS’s rule.

“Congress came to power after making a lot of promises. But after it formed the government, it became nothing but the 'Photo Copy' of BRS,” PM Modi said.

"The loot which the BRS did in years, Congress 'managed' to do it within a few months!" he added.

"If there is something the Congress party has given to the people of Telangana, it is BETRAYAL, BETRAYAL and BETRAYAL only," the Prime Minister said.

All seventeen parliamentary seats of Telangana are set to go to polls in the fourth phase of the Lok Sabha Elections on May 13. The contest will be closely watched as the Congress seeks to replicate its 2023 assembly victory, while the BRS fights to retain its footing after a series of setbacks.
