Arvind Kejriwal Interim Bail: After the Supreme Court granted interim bail to Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal in the Delhi Liquor Policy case to campaign for the Lok Sabha elections 2024, celebrations erupted at AAP's office. The party workers were seen celebrating at the party headquarters in the national capital.
The top court allowed interim release for Kejriwal for campaigning but said that he must surrender on June 2. The seventh and last phase of the Lok Sabha election will take place on June 1. A bench of Justice Sanjiv Khanna and Justice Dipankar Datta said Kejriwal, arrested in a money-laundering case linked to the alleged excise policy scam, will have to surrender and go back to jail on June 2.The last phase of the general elections will be held on June 1.

The AAP welcomed the Supreme Court decision on Friday to grant interim bail to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and said truth can be troubled but not defeated. In a major relief to Kejriwal, the Supreme Court granted him interim bail till June 1 to campaign in the ongoing Lok Sabha elections.
"Truth can be troubled but not defeated. The decision of the Hon'ble Supreme Court is welcome. The dictatorship will end. Satyamev Jayate," AAP Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh said in a post in Hindi on X.
Interim Bail To Delhi CM Kejriwal
The SC allowed interim release for Kejriwal till June 1 as campaigning ends on that day, but said that he must surrender on June 2. A bench of Justice Sanjiv Khanna and Justice Dipankar Datta noted said that 21 days here or there should not make a difference and he can surrender on June 2 after finishing election campaign.
The top court also said that it will try to complete hearing Kejriwal's petition challenging the arrest by ED at the earliest.
