New Delhi: Congress on Sunday released its fifth list of three candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Pratap Singh Khachariyawas has been fielded from Jaipur, in place of Sunil Sharma. Among the other two candidates are Pratibha Suresh Dhanorkar from Chandrapur seat in Maharashtra, and Murari Lal Meena from Rajasthan's Dausa.
Congress’s first list had 39 names, notable among them were Bhupesh Bhaghel from Chhatisgarh, Rahul Gandhi, KC Venugopal, Shashi Tharoor from Kerala; and DK Suresh from Karnataka. There were 15 candidates from the general category while 24 candidates were from Schedule Castes, Schedule Tribes, Other Backward Classes, and Minorities.

In its second list of 43 candidates, Congress fielded Gaurav Gogoi from Jorhat in Assam, Nakul Nath, son of Kamal Nath, will once again contest from Chhindwara in Madhya Pradesh. Another notable candidate, Vaibhav Gehlot, son of former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, will contest from Jalore.
In its third list of 56 candidates, the grand old party named Adhir Ranjan Choudhary from Bahrampur (West Bengal), Ve Vaithilingam from Puducherry, Sonal Patel, and Nepal Mahato.
Rahul Kaswan, who switched from the saffron camp, was given a ticket from Churu in Rajasthan. Harish Chandra Meena, a close confidant of Congress leader Sachin Pilot was fielded from Tonk-Sawai Madhopur, and Karan Singh Uchiyarda from Jodhpur.
In its fourth list, the Congress announced the names of 45 candidates. Uttar Pradesh unit chief Ajay Rai was fielded from Varanasi, challenging Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Among other prominent names were veteran leader Digvijaya Singh and newly-inducted Lal Singh.
