Karnataka Exit Poll Of Polls 2023: Most exit polls have predicted that Congress will emerge as the single largest party, winning anywhere between 90-112 seats, with BJP breathing down its neck.

ABP CVoter Karnataka Exit Poll 2023 Highlights: Karnataka is again likely to see a hung Assembly, with exit polls showing that no party would surpass the majority mark of 113 in the 224-member House. These predictions also suggest that HD Kumaraswamy's Janata Dal (Secular) is likely to hold the key to forming the government.

In the 2018 election, Deve Gowda's son HD Kumaraswamy became the CM after JD(S) entered into a post-poll alliance with the Congress. No party secured a majority in that election. However, the government lasted barely a year, with BJP weaning away MLAs, leading to the collapse of the JD(S)-Congress government in July 2019. 

BJP had emerged as the single largest party in the House in the 2018 election, winning 104 seats. In the 2018 polls, Congress won 80 seats.

This year, most exit polls have predicted that Congress would emerge as the single largest party, winning anywhere between 90-112 seats, with BJP breathing down its neck.

Only two exit polls -- Times-Now ETG and Zee News -- have predicted the possibility of a Congress victory. Two others predicted BJP will form the government by winning 114 and 117 respectively. However, it must be noted that exit polls do not always get it right.

ABP-CVoter exit poll results 2023 for Karnataka suggest that the Congress fall marginally short of a clear majority, winning 100-112 seats. Incumbent BJP will lose ground as it is expected to get between 83 and 95 assembly seats in its southern citadel. 

HD Kumaraswamy-led JD(S) is  projected to secure between 21 and 29 assembly seats, as per the ABP-CVoter exit poll. In 2018, they won 37 assembly seats.

News Nation-CGS has predicted the Basavaraj Bommai-led party will cross the majority mark with 114 seats. It has given Congress 86 seats and the JD(S) 21.

The Suvarna News-Jan Ki Baat has also given an edge to the BJP, predicting it will emerge as the single largest party winning anyhwere between 94 and 117 seats. The Congress, it said, will get 91-106 seats and the JD(S) 14-24 seats.

Times Now-ETG exit polls has forecast that Congress will barely touch the majority mark, getting 113 seats. It predicted BJP will get 85 seats. Twenty-three seats will go to the Janata Dal Secular.

On the other hand, the Republic TV-P MARQ exit poll has predicted the BJP will win 85-100 of the 224 assembly seats while Congress will bag 94-108. It has given 24-32 seats to the JD(S).  

TV 9-Bharatvansh-Polstrat predicted 88-98 seats for the BJP, 99-109 seats for the Congress and 21-26 seats for the JD(S). Zee News Matrize has predicted 79-94 seats for the BJP and 103-118 seats for the Congress and 25-33 seas for the JD(S).
