Gujarat Election Results 2022: BJP Set To Register Landslide Victory. Top Points

As the counting for the 182-member Gujarat Assembly is underway, the BJP has crossed the 150-seat mark in the state, as per the trends by the Election Commission of India.

Gujarat Election Results 2022: Bharatiya Janata Party is set to create a record with a seventh consecutive term in Gujarat, the saffron party also seems to break another record long-held with Congress. While the BJP has been in the domination of Gujarat politics, Congress still has the record of largest vote share with former Chief Minister Madhavsinh Solanki who won 149 seats in the 1985 Gujarat polls.

As the counting for the 182-member Gujarat Assembly is underway, the BJP has crossed the 150-seat mark in the state, as per the trends by the Election Commission of India.

  • The BJP is poised for a landslide victory in Gujarat to retain power for a record seventh straight term in Gujarat. 
  • Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel won from the Ghatlodia seat with a margin of more than 1,92,000 votes
  • BJP’s Hardik Patel is leading from Viramgam constituency by more than 40,000 votes.
  • The Aam Aadmi Party's Chief Ministerial candidate for Gujarat, Isudhan Gadhvi is trailing by 18745 votes in Khambhalia constituency.
