Gujarat Election: BJP Will Break All Records In Terms Of Both Seats And Votes, Says Amit Shah
Asked if winning the elections this time will be easier than 2017, Amit Shah said no election should be taken lightly.
New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is leaving no stone unturned ahead of the Gujarat Assembly elections. On the sidelines of a road show in Narmada district’s Rajpipla on Friday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, in an exclusive interview with ABP News, said the saffron party will register a historic win in the state polls.
'This time BJP will break all records'
Asked if winning the elections this time will be easier than 2017, Amit Shah said no election should be taken lightly. “We consider every election as a challenge and wish to get more votes from the public. I am sure this time we will break all records in terms of both seats and votes,” Shah said.

On a question regarding the rebels, the Union Minister said that the importance of the rebels and the candidates is as long as they have the lotus symbol. “The people stay with the party and not with the candidate,” he said.
Asked that senior leaders go to campaign on easy seats, but this seat is difficult for the BJP as the Congress or the Opposition has always won this seat, Shah said that it is not that as the BJP has also won this seat several times and that leaders should campaign in seats where the party decides.
'BJP worked on development, law and order'
When asked that BJP has removed some of its senior leaders because the saffron party is afraid that their defeat is certain, as no party has run such long governments, Shah said it never worked does not mean that it will not work.
“BJP has done very good work on both development, and law and order. We are going to win the elections with a thumping majority. The support of the public is with us,” he added.
