'Ghamandia' Parties Either On Bail Or In Jail': Nadda Attacks I.N.D.I.A Bloc, Hits Out At Oppn Alliance For Dynastic Politics

BJP national president J P Nadda remarked that most members of the I.N.D.I.A bloc is either on bail or in jail, citing examples like Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia, Satyendar Jain, and K Kavitha.

Accusing the I.N.D.I.A bloc of perpetuating dynastic politics, BJP national president J P Nadda asserted on Sunday that members of 'Ghamandia' (arrogant) parties are either on bail or in jail.

He stated that if there was one party that has respect for democracy, it is the BJP as it grants ordinary people rise and become leaders. "On the one hand, there is ‘Ghamandia’ alliance in the name of India, and on the other, there is a democratic BJP which allows people from ordinary families to rise and become leaders," Nadda said, PTI reported.

The BJP has coined the term 'Ghamandia' to mock the opposition alliance, which identifies itself as the I.N.D.I.A bloc.

The BJP president highlighted that Farooq Abdullah-Omar Abdullah, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed-Mehbooba Mufti, Prakash Badal-Sukhbir Badal, Chautala family, Mulayam-Akhilesh-Dimple Yadav family, Lalu-Rabri-Tejashwi-Tej Pratap Yadav family, Mamata Bannerjee-Abhishek, KCR-KTR-Kavita, Karunanidhi-Stalin-Udayanidhi, Sharad Pawar-Supriya Sule, and Uddhav Thackeray-Aditya Thackeray were all part of dynastic parties.

"Aren’t Sonia-Rahul-Priyanka a family politics?" Nadda questioned.

He remarked that most members of the I.N.D.I.A bloc is either on bail or in jail, citing examples like Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia, Satyendar Jain, and Telangana MLC K Kavitha.

He told the audience that Prime Minister Modi had declared from the Red Fort ramparts that corruption is like robbing a poor man, emphasising that combating corruption was at the top of the BJP's agenda. The BJP will not stand for corruption and will take appropriate action.

Nadda Credits BJP Government For Poverty Alleviation

Addressing the failure of the Congress in poverty alleviation, Nadda credited the BJP government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi with uplifting 25 crore Indians out of poverty.

He cited the IMF when he stated that, as of the last ten years, less than 1% of the population lives in extreme poverty. Under the banner "Sabka Saath Sabka Vikaas" (everyone's development with everyone's cooperation), the prime minister brought about a change in the nation's political climate.

"Today we have development, accountability, pro-responsive, pro-active governance and politics of report card. What was promised was given and more was offered. Modi has changed the politics. We can see the opposition’s frustration, anger, and attempt to divert from core issues," Nadda outlined.

Highlighting farmers’ welfare, he underscored that around 53 lakh people from Karnataka and 1.5 lakh from Dharwad are getting Rs 2,000 every fourth month under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi.

The president of the BJP also aimed at the Congress party for its policy of waiving farm loans every ten years, which excluded borrowers who had paid off their debts in full and rewarded defaulters regularly.

Regarding the economic situation, Nadda stated that "all the major economies are in trouble, but if there is any bright spot in the midst of gloomy economic scenario, it is India, according to the IMF report."  "We were in the 11th spot when Modi came to power and now we are the fifth largest economy leaving behind Britain. If you elect Modi again, India will be the third major economy in the next two years,", he informed the audience.

He further added that India is set to grow into a major manufacturing hub. The Boeing India Engineering and Technology Centre, the company's first major out-of-America location, has opened its doors in Karnataka.

The largest helicopter manufacturing unit is being established in Tumakuru, he said, adding that new airports have been built in Mysuru, Shivamogga, Belagavi, and Hubballi.

Regarding the charge made by the ruling Congress that Karnataka did not receive its fair part of tax devolution, he stated that the amount of money allotted by the central government to the state has increased fourfold, while the Central grant-in-aid has increased three times.
