ABP News-CVoter Himachal Opinion Poll 2022: Elections to the 68-member Himachal Pradesh Assembly are scheduled to hold before the end of this year as the tenure of the state Legislative Assembly ends on January 8, 2023.
The previous elections were held in November 2017. The counting of votes took place on December 18, 2017. After the election, the Bharatiya Janata Party formed the government in the state and Jairam Thakur was made the chief minister.
With the elections around the corner, ABP News and CVoter have come out with opinion poll results that show the projected number of seats and vote percentage which the parties in the fray can possibly secure in Himachal Pradesh.

BJP’s vote share, according to the ABP News-CVoter Opinion Poll 2022, has slightly decreased as compared to the state elections held in 2017. The vote share has settled at 45.2%, against 48.8% in the previous election. The vote share of the Congress party is projected at 33.9 per cent, which is almost a drop of 8 per cent from the previous assembly election. The Aam Aadmi Party may get a vote share of 9.5 per cent, as per the ABP News-CVoter Opinion Poll 2022.

The ABP News-CVoter Opinion Poll 2022 has projected that the ruling BJP can emerge as the single largest party, bagging 37 to 45 seats, followed by the Congress with 21 to 29 seats. The Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party may win just one seat, according to the ABP News-CVoter Opinion Poll 2022.

The second preferred candidate is Union Minister Anurag Thakur with a 19.5 per cent vote. Congress party’s Pratibha Singh is in third place on the list with 15 per cent of votes.
According to the ABP News-CVoter Opinion Poll 2022, 9.5 voters want a CM candidate from the Aam Aadmi Party, whereas Congress’s Mukhesh Agnihotri is behind AAP on the preferred candidate list.
