New Delhi: After almost sealing alliance in Delhi and Haryana for the Lok Sabha elections, Congress and Aam Admi Party are likely to call off their alliance in both Delhi and Haryana.

This comes as a result of Congress’ will against giving any seat to Aam Aadmi Party in Haryana to contest the polls. As per reports, AAP is adamant about wanting seat from Haryana as well.

AAP to address press conference today:

Senior AAP leader Manish Sisodia and Sanjay Singh addressed media and said Congress is seeking seats in Delhi even though they currently don't have a single MP or MLA from Delhi. Earlier, both parties had reportedly come to consensus over seat sharing in Delhi and Haryana.

AAP had given time to Congress to come to decide on the alliance between the two parties by Monday.  For this party had cancelled the declaration of names of its 3 candidates which was going to take place on Saturday. AAP leader Gopal Rai had declared that 6 party candidates will be announced on Saturday; he said that party had taken this decision so that the ongoing talks of alliance with Congress can reach their final stage.

There has been an uncertainty about alliance formation between AAP and Congress for over a month. Earlier, Congress Delhi Chief Sheila Dikshit was against the alliance, whereas Ajay Maken was in support of the same.
