Ramtek: In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Krupal Balaji Tumane from Shiv Sena (SHS) won the elections by a margin of 175791 votes. The polling / voting in Ramtek constituency in the 2019 General elections took place in Phase 1 on 11 April. The major contest is between Shiv Sena#s Kripal Tumade and Congress Party#s Kishor uttamrao gajbhiye

Ramtek 2014 Lok Sabha Polls

In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Bharatiya Janata Party won 23 out of the 48 parliamentary seat with 27.3 percent vote share while the Shiv Sena managed to win just 18 seats with a 20.6 percent vote share.

Out of the 23 Lok Sabha candidates who contested the 2014 Lok Sabha elections from Ramtek, 21 had to deposit their security. The voters gave their mandate in favour of Krupal Balaji Tumane of the Shiv Sena as he defeated Mukul Wasnik by a margin of 175791 votes.

Here, Shiv Sena leader Mohite Subodh Baburao attained 276720 votes and Indian National Congress candidate Dr. Shrikant Jichkar bagged 262618 votes
  • 1999 Lok Sabha Elections: In 13th Lok Sabha election, Shiv Sena candidate defeated Indian National Congress candidate with a difference of 11689 votes. Here, Shiv Sena leader Subodh Mohite attained 242454 votes and Indian National Congress candidate Purohit Banwari Lal bagged 230765 votes
  • 1998 Lok Sabha Elections: In 12th Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate had defeated Shiv Sena candidate by a margin of 67038 votes INC candidate Rani Chitralekha T. Bhosale had got 325885 while SHS got Gujar Ashok Yashwantrao votes.
  • 1996 Lok Sabha Elections: In 11th Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate defeated Shiv Sena candidate with a difference of 25722 votes. Here, Indian National Congress leader Meghe Dattatray Raghobaji attained 207188 votes and Shiv Sena candidate Jadhao Prakash Bhagwant bagged 181466 votes
  • 1991 Lok Sabha Elections: In 10th Lok Sabha poll, Indian National Congress candidate defated Bharatiya Janta Party candidate in one-sided contest. Here, INC candidate Bhonsle Tejsingharao Laxmanrao attained 240437 votes and BJP's Pandurang Jayaramji Hajare bagged 102483 votes.
  • 1989 Lok Sabha Elections: In Ninth Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate defeated JD candidate with a difference of 34470 votes. Here, Indian National Congress leader P.V. Narsimharao attained 257800 votes and JD candidate Hajare Pandurang Jairamji bagged 223330 votes
  • 1984 Lok Sabha Elections: In 8th Lok Sabha poll, Indian National Congress candidate defated ICS candidate in one-sided contest. Here, INC candidate Narsimha Rao P. V. attained 290905 votes and ICS's Gedam Shankarrao Daulatrao bagged 104933 votes.
  • 1980 Lok Sabha Elections: In 7th Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate defated JNP candidate in one-sided contest. Here, INC(I) candidate Barve Jatiram Chaitram attained 273957 votes and JNP's Deshmukh Rajendrababu Hanumantrao bagged 59194 votes.
  • 1977 Lok Sabha Elections: In Sixth Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate defeated IND candidate with a difference of 42949 votes. Here, Indian National Congress leader Barve Jatiramji Chaitramji attained 196977 votes and IND candidate Ram Hedaoo bagged 154028 votes
  • 1971 Lok Sabha Elections: In Fifth Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate defated FBL candidate in one-sided contest. Here, INC candidate Amrut Ganpat Sonar attained 280054 votes and FBL's Anandrao Jairam Kalamkar bagged 48312 votes.
  • 1967 Lok Sabha Elections: In Fourth Lok Sabha poll, Indian National Congress candidate defated RPI candidate in one-sided contest. Here, INC candidate A. G. Sonar attained 183258 votes and RPI's R. N. Patil bagged 77909 votes.
  • 1962 Lok Sabha Elections: In Third Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate defeated PWP candidate with a difference of 41302 votes. Here, Indian National Congress leader Madhaolrao Bhagwantrao Patil attained 146706 votes and PWP candidate Baburao Tatyaji Bhonsle bagged 105404 votes
  • 1957 Lok Sabha Elections: In Second Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate had defeated IND candidate by a margin of 63673 votes INC candidate Deshmukh Krishnarao Gulabrao had got 166123 while IND got Yawalkar Krishnarao Amrutrao votes.
