Background

Rajampet: In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, P.V.Midhun Reddy from YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) won the elections by a margin of 174762 votes. The polling / voting in Rajampet constituency in the 2019 General elections took place in Phase 1 on 11 April. The major contest is between Telugu Desam Party#s D.A. Sathya Prabha and YSR Congress Party#s PV Midhun Reddy

Rajampet 2014 Lok Sabha Polls

In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Telugu Desam Party won 15 out of the 25 parliamentary seat with 29.1 percent vote share while the YSR Congress Party managed to win just 8 seats with a 28.9 percent vote share.

Voter turnout in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections in Rajampet Lok Sabha Lok Sabha constituency. The total voter turnout was 77.87% Lok Sabha percent with 77.92% Lok Sabha percent male voters turning out to cast their votes. Meanwhile, 77.82% Lok Sabha percent of the women voters cast their votes and 7116 Lok Sabha voters pressed on the NOTA

Out of the 9 Lok Sabha candidates who contested the 2014 Lok Sabha elections from Rajampet, 7 had to deposit their security. The voters gave their mandate in favour of P.V.Midhun Reddy of the YSR Congress Party as he defeated D. Purandeswari by a margin of 174762 votes.

  • 2004 Lok Sabha Elections: In 14th Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate had defeated Telugu Desam Party candidate by a margin of 78085 votes INC candidate Annayyagari Sai Prathap had got 369797 while TDP got Gunipati Ramaiah votes.
  • 1999 Lok Sabha Elections: In 13th Lok Sabha election, Telugu Desam Party candidate defeated Indian National Congress candidate with a difference of 27170 votes. Here, Telugu Desam Party leader Gunipati Ramaiah attained 322107 votes and Indian National Congress candidate Annaiahgari Saiprathap bagged 294937 votes
  • 1998 Lok Sabha Elections: In 12th Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate defeated Telugu Desam Party candidate with a difference of 47896 votes. Here, Indian National Congress leader Annaiahgari Sai Pratap attained 274889 votes and Telugu Desam Party candidate Gunipati Ramaiah bagged 226993 votes
  • 1996 Lok Sabha Elections: In 11th Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate had defeated Telugu Desam Party candidate by a margin of 50392 votes INC candidate Annaiahgari Sai Prathap had got 280557 while TDP got Pothuraju Prathap votes.
  • 1991 Lok Sabha Elections: In 10th Lok Sabha poll, Indian National Congress candidate defated Telugu Desam Party candidate in one-sided contest. Here, INC candidate Annaiahgari Saiprathap attained 325107 votes and TDP's Palakondrayudu Sugavasi bagged 162813 votes.
  • 1989 Lok Sabha Elections: In Ninth Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate defeated Telugu Desam Party candidate with a difference of 38423 votes. Here, Indian National Congress leader Annaiahgari Sai Prathap attained 340796 votes and Telugu Desam Party candidate Ramachandraiah C. bagged 302373 votes
  • 1984 Lok Sabha Elections: In 8th Lok Sabha poll, Telugu Desam Party candidate defated Indian National Congress candidate in one-sided contest. Here, TDP candidate Palakondrayudu Sugavasi attained 298060 votes and INC's A.Sai Prathap bagged 180913 votes.
  • 1980 Lok Sabha Elections: In 7th Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate defeated Indian National Congress candidate with a difference of 41401 votes. Here, Indian National Congress leader P. Parthasarathy attained 189311 votes and Indian National Congress candidate Rathnasabapathy Bandaru bagged 147910 votes
  • 1977 Lok Sabha Elections: In Sixth Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate had defeated BLD candidate by a margin of 54551 votes INC candidate Pothuraju Parthasarathi had got 233844 while BLD got P. Thimma Reddy votes.
  • 1971 Lok Sabha Elections: In Fifth Lok Sabha poll, Indian National Congress candidate defated NCO candidate in one-sided contest. Here, INC candidate Parthasarathi Pothuraju attained 243603 votes and NCO's Yesoda Reddy bagged 65735 votes.
  • 1967 Lok Sabha Elections: In Fourth Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate had defeated SWA candidate by a margin of 66549 votes INC candidate P. Parthasarathy had got 189874 while SWA got C.L.N. Reddy votes.
  • 1962 Lok Sabha Elections: In Third Lok Sabha election, SWA candidate defeated INC candidate with a difference of 17265 votes. Here, SWA leader C.L. Narasimha Reddy attained 155017 votes and INC candidate T.N. Viswanatha Reddy bagged 137752 votes
  • 1957 Lok Sabha Elections: In Second Lok Sabha election, interesting battle could be seen between Indian National Congress and ; here Indian National Congress candidate defeated his counterpart with a difference of 0 votes.

एबीपी न्यूज़-सी वोटर के सर्वे में दिल्ली की 70 विधानसभा सीटों के लिए भी जनता का मूड जानने की कोशिश की गई है. इसके तहत सामने आया है कि अगर इस समय दिल्ली में विधानसभा चुनाव होते हैं तो आम आदमी पार्टी को 39 सीटें हासिल हो सकती हैं. वहीं बीजेपी को 26 सीटें हाथ लग सकती हैं और कांग्रेस को महज 5 सीटों से संतोष करना पड़ सकता है.

दिल्ली के सर्वे के मुताबिक अगर आम आदमी पार्टी और कांग्रेस का गठबंधन हो जाता है तो इस सूरत में बीजेपी सातों लोकसभा सीटों में से सिर्फ चार सीटों पर जीत हासिल कर पाएगी. वहीं कांग्रेस और आप के गठबंधन को सात में से तीन सीटें हासिल हो सकती हैं.
