Raiganj: In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Md. Salim from Communist Party of India (CPM) won the elections by a margin of 1634 votes. The polling / voting in Raiganj constituency in the 2019 General elections took place in Phase 2 on 18 April. The major contest is between Bharatiya Janata Party#s Deboshree Chaudhary and All India Trinamool Congress#s Kanaia Lal Agarwal

Raiganj 2014 Lok Sabha Polls

In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, All India Trinamool Congress won 34 out of the 42 parliamentary seat with 39.8 percent vote share while the Communist Party of India (Marxist) managed to win just 2 seats with a 23 percent vote share.

Voter turnout in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections in Raiganj Lok Sabha Lok Sabha constituency. The total voter turnout was 79.87% Lok Sabha percent with 77.92% Lok Sabha percent male voters turning out to cast their votes. Meanwhile, 81.99% Lok Sabha percent of the women voters cast their votes and 10929 Lok Sabha voters pressed on the NOTA

Out of the 12 Lok Sabha candidates who contested the 2014 Lok Sabha elections from Raiganj, 8 had to deposit their security. The voters gave their mandate in favour of Md. Salim of the Communist Party of India as he defeated Deepa Dasmunsi by a margin of 1634 votes.

  • 1999 Lok Sabha Elections: In 13th Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate had defeated Communist Party of India candidate by a margin of 75255 votes INC candidate Priya Ranjan Dasmunsi had got 409331 while CPM got Subrata Mukherjee votes.
  • 1998 Lok Sabha Elections: In 12th Lok Sabha election, interesting battle could be seen between Communist Party of India and Indian National Congress here Communist Party of India candidate defeated his Indian National Congress counterpart with a difference of 6281 votes.
  • 1996 Lok Sabha Elections: In 11th Lok Sabha election, Communist Party of India candidate defeated Indian National Congress candidate with a difference of 10956 votes. आखिरी जानकारी मिलने तक उत्तर प्रदेश में लोकसभा की 8 सीटों पर 63.69 फीसदी मतदान की खबर आई है. जिन 8 जिलों में वोटिंग हुई है उसमें सहारनपुर में 70.78 फीसदी, कैराना में 62.10 फीसदी, मुजफ्फरनगर में 66.66 फीसदी, बिजनौर में 65.49 फीसदी, मेरठ में 63 फीसदी, बागपत में 63.09 फीसदी, गाजियाबाद में 57.06 फीसदी और गौतमबुद्धनगर में 60.15 फीसदी मतदान प्रतिशत की खबर आई है.

महाराष्ट्र के चीफ इलेक्टोरल ऑफिसर ने जानकारी दी कि गढ़चिरौली के चार पोलिंग स्टेशन पर वोटिंग नहीं हो सकी क्योंकि यहां पोलिंग टीमें नहीं पहुंच पाई हैं. ये क्षेत्र नक्सल प्रभावित क्षेत्र हैं. इन चार मतदान केंद्रों पर चुनाव आयोग फिर से चुनाव कराएगा.

उत्तर-पूर्वी राज्य मणिपुर में इस बार भारी वोटिंग हुई है. मणिपुर बाहरी लोकसभा सीट पर 78.20 फीसदी वोटिंग हुई है. ये आंकड़ा शाम 4 बजे तक का है. हालांकि इसमें और इजाफा हो सकता है क्योंकि शाम 4 बजे तक लाइन में लगे हुए लोगों को मतदान करने दिया गया. मणिपुर में वोटिंग के लिए आधिकारिक समय सुबह सात बजे से शाम चार बजे तक का था.

महाराष्ट्र में शाम 5 बजे तक का वोटिंग प्रतिशत का आंकड़ा आ गया है. महाराष्ट्र की सातों लोकसभा सीटों पर 55.78 फीसदी वोटिंग हुई है.
