Nizamabad: In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Kalvakuntla Kavitha from Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) won the elections by a margin of 167184 votes. The polling / voting in Nizamabad constituency in the 2019 General elections took place in Phase 1 on 11 April. The major contest is between Telangana Rashtra Samithi#s Kalvakuntla Kavitha and Congress Party#s Madhu yashki goud

In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Telangana Rashtra Samithi won 11 out of the 17 parliamentary seat with 33.9 percent vote share while the Congress managed to win just 2 seats with a 20.5 percent vote share.

Out of the 16 Lok Sabha candidates who contested the 2014 Lok Sabha elections from Nizamabad, 13 had to deposit their security. The voters gave their mandate in favour of Kalvakuntla Kavitha of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi as he defeated Madhu Yaskhi Goud by a margin of 167184 votes.

• 2004 Lok Sabha Elections: In 14th Lok Sabha poll, Indian National Congress candidate defated Telugu Desam Party candidate in one-sided contest. Here, INC candidate Madhu Goud Yaskhi attained 442142 votes and TDP's Syed Yousuf Ali bagged 304271 votes.
• 1999 Lok Sabha Elections: In 13th Lok Sabha election, interesting battle could be seen between Telugu Desam Party and Indian National Congress here Telugu Desam Party candidate defeated his Indian National Congress counterpart with a difference of 3436 votes.
• 1998 Lok Sabha Elections: In 12th Lok Sabha election, Telugu Desam Party candidate defeated Bharatiya Janta Party candidate with a difference of 32756 votes. Here, Telugu Desam Party leader Gangareddy Gaddam attained 281851 votes and Bharatiya Janta Party candidate Atmacharan Reddy Gaddam bagged 249095 votes
• 1996 Lok Sabha Elections: In 11th Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate defeated Telugu Desam Party candidate with a difference of 43599 votes. Here, Indian National Congress leader Atmacharan Reddy attained 293244 votes and Telugu Desam Party candidate Mandawa Venkateshwara Rao bagged 249645 votes
• 1991 Lok Sabha Elections: In 10th Lok Sabha election, Telugu Desam Party candidate had defeated Indian National Congress candidate by a margin of 68348 votes TDP candidate Gaddam Ganga Reddy had got 257297 while INC got T. Aduri Bala Goud votes.
• 1989 Lok Sabha Elections: In Ninth Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate defeated Telugu Desam Party candidate with a difference of 24099 votes. Here, Indian National Congress leader Taduri Bala Goud attained 294340 votes and Telugu Desam Party candidate P.Srinivas Reddy bagged 270241 votes
• 1984 Lok Sabha Elections: In 8th Lok Sabha election, interesting battle could be seen between Indian National Congress and Telugu Desam Party here Indian National Congress candidate defeated his Telugu Desam Party counterpart with a difference of 2447 votes.
• 1980 Lok Sabha Elections: In 7th Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate defated JNP candidate in one-sided contest. Here, INC(I) candidate M. Ramgopal Reddy attained 248283 votes and JNP's K. M. Khan bagged 47968 votes.
• 1977 Lok Sabha Elections: In Sixth Lok Sabha poll, Indian National Congress candidate defated BLD candidate in one-sided contest. Here, INC candidate Mudaganti Ram Gopal Reddy attained 252291 votes and BLD's Gangareddy bagged 92898 votes.
• 1971 Lok Sabha Elections: In Fifth Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate had defeated TPS candidate by a margin of 59737 votes INC candidate Ram Gopal Reddy M. had got 155323 while TPS got Ananth Reddy K. votes.
• 1967 Lok Sabha Elections: In Fourth Lok Sabha election, Independent candidate had defeated INC candidate by a margin of 70245 votes IND candidate M.N. Reddy had got 149632 while INC got H.C. Heda votes.
• 1962 Lok Sabha Elections: In Third Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate defeated IND candidate with a difference of 27020 votes. Here, Indian National Congress leader H.C. Heda attained 106570 votes and IND candidate M. Narayana Reddy bagged 79550 votes
• 1957 Lok Sabha Elections: In Second Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate defeated IND candidate with a difference of 37529 votes. Here, Indian National Congress leader Harish Chandra Heda attained 110646 votes and IND candidate G. Raja Ram bagged 73117 votes
• 1951 Lok Sabha Elections: In India's Very First Lok Sabha Polls, Indian National Congress candidate defeated SP candidate with a difference of 12243 votes. Here, Indian National Congress leader Harish Chandra Heda attained 86619 votes and SP candidate Kashinath Rao Mukalpar bagged 74376 votes
