Background

Nashik: In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Godse Hemant Tukaram from Shiv Sena (SHS) won the elections by a margin of 187336 votes. The polling / voting in Nashik constituency in the 2019 General elections took place in Phase 4 on 29 April. The major contest is between Shiv Sena#s Hemant Godse and Congress Party#s Sameer Bhujbal

Nashik 2014 Lok Sabha Polls

In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Bharatiya Janata Party won 23 out of the 48 parliamentary seat with 27.3 percent vote share while the Shiv Sena managed to win just 18 seats with a 20.6 percent vote share.

Voter turnout in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections in Nashik Lok Sabha Lok Sabha constituency. The total voter turnout was 58.84% Lok Sabha percent with 61.68% Lok Sabha percent male voters turning out to cast their votes. Meanwhile, 55.58% Lok Sabha percent of the women voters cast their votes and 8916 Lok Sabha voters pressed on the NOTA

Out of the 15 Lok Sabha candidates who contested the 2014 Lok Sabha elections from Nashik, 13 had to deposit their security. The voters gave their mandate in favour of Godse Hemant Tukaram of the Shiv Sena as he defeated Chhagan Bhujbal by a margin of 187336 votes.

  • 2004 Lok Sabha Elections: In 14th Lok Sabha election, Nationalist Congress Party candidate defeated Shiv Sena candidate with a difference of 15058 votes. Here, Nationalist Congress Party leader Pingale Devidas Anandrao attained 307613 votes and Shiv Sena candidate Patil Dasharath Dharmaji bagged 292555 votes
  • 1999 Lok Sabha Elections: In 13th Lok Sabha election, Shiv Sena candidate defeated Nationalist Congress Party candidate with a difference of 36812 votes. Here, Shiv Sena leader Dhikale Uttamrao Nathuji attained 303084 votes and Nationalist Congress Party candidate Patil Madhav Balwant bagged 266272 votes
  • 1998 Lok Sabha Elections: In 12th Lok Sabha poll, Indian National Congress candidate defated Shiv Sena candidate in one-sided contest. Here, INC candidate Patil Madhav Balwant attained 381300 votes and SHS's Godse Rajaram Parashram bagged 278908 votes.
  • 1996 Lok Sabha Elections: In 11th Lok Sabha election, Shiv Sena candidate had defeated Indian National Congress candidate by a margin of 73539 votes SHS candidate Godase Rajaram Parashram had got 295044 while INC got Pawar Vasant Nivrutti votes.
  • 1991 Lok Sabha Elections: In 10th Lok Sabha poll, Indian National Congress candidate defated Bharatiya Janta Party candidate in one-sided contest. Here, INC candidate Pawar Vasant Niwrutti attained 310247 votes and BJP's Aher Daulatrao Sonuji bagged 168881 votes.
  • 1989 Lok Sabha Elections: In Ninth Lok Sabha election, Bharatiya Janta Party candidate defeated Indian National Congress candidate with a difference of 30653 votes. Here, Bharatiya Janta Party leader Aher Daula Sonuji attained 287267 votes and Indian National Congress candidate Mane Murlidhar Pandurang bagged 256614 votes
  • 1984 Lok Sabha Elections: In 8th Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate defeated ICS candidate with a difference of 37546 votes. Here, Indian National Congress leader Mane Murlidhar Pandurang attained 197428 votes and ICS candidate Pralhad Namdeo Patilkarad bagged 159882 votes
  • 1980 Lok Sabha Elections: In 7th Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate defeated Indian National Congress candidate with a difference of 46255 votes. Here, Indian National Congress leader Wagh Pratap Deoram attained 204155 votes and Indian National Congress candidate Patil Vinayakrao Pundlikrao bagged 157900 votes
  • 1977 Lok Sabha Elections: In Sixth Lok Sabha election, BLD candidate defeated INC candidate with a difference of 11241 votes. Here, BLD leader Hande Vithalrao Ganpatrao attained 164258 votes and INC candidate Thakre Baburao Ganpat bagged 153017 votes
  • 1971 Lok Sabha Elections: In Fifth Lok Sabha poll, Indian National Congress candidate defated BKD candidate in one-sided contest. Here, INC candidate Bhanudas Ramchandra Kavde attained 208898 votes and BKD's Dhairyashilrao Yashwantrao Pawar bagged 63157 votes.
  • 1967 Lok Sabha Elections: In Fourth Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate defeated RPI candidate with a difference of 36307 votes. Here, Indian National Congress leader B. R. Kavade attained 155632 votes and RPI candidate B. K. Gaikwad bagged 119325 votes
  • 1962 Lok Sabha Elections: In Third Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate had defeated REP candidate by a margin of 59654 votes INC candidate Govind Hari Deshpande had got 110242 while REP got Bhaurao Krishnarao Gaikwad votes.
  • 1957 Lok Sabha Elections: In Second Lok Sabha election, SCF candidate defeated INC candidate with a difference of 11369 votes. Here, SCF leader Gaikwad Bhaurao Krishanarao attained 85437 votes and INC candidate Deshpande Govind Har bagged 74068 votes
