Muzaffarpur: In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Ajay Nishad from Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) won the elections by a margin of 222422 votes. The polling / voting in Muzaffarpur constituency in the 2019 General elections took place in Phase 5 on 6 May. The major contest is between Bharatiya Janata Party#s Ajay Nishad and Vikassheel Insaan Party#s Rajbhushan Choudhary Nishad

Muzaffarpur 2014 Lok Sabha Polls

In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Bharatiya Janata Party won 22 out of the 40 parliamentary seat with 29.4 percent vote share while the Lok Janshakti Party managed to win just 6 seats with a 6.4 percent vote share.

The total voter turnout was 61.16% Lok Sabha percent with 59.08% Lok Sabha percent male voters turning out to cast their votes. Meanwhile, 63.56% Lok Sabha percent of the women voters cast their votes and 9690 Lok Sabha voters pressed on the NOTA

Out of the 29 Lok Sabha candidates who contested the 2014 Lok Sabha elections from Muzaffarpur, 27 had to deposit their security. The voters gave their mandate in favour of Ajay Nishad of the Bharatiya Janta Party as he defeated Akhilesh Pd Singh by a margin of 222422 votes.

  • 2004 Lok Sabha Elections: In 14th Lok Sabha election, interesting battle could be seen between Janata Dal (United) and Rashtriya Janata Dal here Janata Dal (United) candidate defeated his Rashtriya Janata Dal counterpart with a difference of 9693 votes.
  • 1999 Lok Sabha Elections: In 13th Lok Sabha election, Janata Dal (United) candidate had defeated Rashtriya Janata Dal candidate by a margin of 60720 votes JD(U) candidate Captain Jai Na. Pd. Nishad had got 363820 while RJD got Mahendra Sahni votes.
  • 1998 Lok Sabha Elections: In 12th Lok Sabha election, Rashtriya Janata Dal candidate defeated SAP candidate with a difference of 21923 votes. Here, Rashtriya Janata Dal leader Captain Jai Na. Pd. Nishad attained 319996 votes and SAP candidate Harendra Kumar bagged 298073 votes
  • 1996 Lok Sabha Elections: In 11th Lok Sabha election, JD candidate had defeated SAP candidate by a margin of 80074 votes JD candidate Jai Narain Pd. Nishad had got 318506 while SAP got Harendra Kumar votes.
  • 1991 Lok Sabha Elections: In 10th Lok Sabha election, JD candidate had defeated Indian National Congress candidate by a margin of 50047 votes JD candidate George Fernandese had got 320833 while INC got Raghunath Pandey votes.
  • 1989 Lok Sabha Elections: In Ninth Lok Sabha election, JD candidate defated Indian National Congress candidate in one-sided contest. Here, JD candidate George Farnandes attained 492615 votes and INC's Laliteshwar Pd. Sahi bagged 207605 votes.
  • 1984 Lok Sabha Elections: In 8th Lok Sabha poll, Indian National Congress candidate defated LKD candidate in one-sided contest. Here, INC candidate Laliteshwar Prasad Shahi attained 325604 votes and LKD's Jainarayan Prasad Nishad bagged 176630 votes.
  • 1980 Lok Sabha Elections: In 7th Lok Sabha election, JNP(S) candidate defeated JNP candidate with a difference of 23109 votes. Here, JNP(S) leader George Farnandes attained 195510 votes and JNP candidate Digvijay Narain Singh bagged 172401 votes
  • 1977 Lok Sabha Elections: In Sixth Lok Sabha election, BLD candidate defated INC candidate in one-sided contest. Here, BLD candidate George Fernandes attained 396687 votes and INC's Nitishwer Prasad Singh bagged 62470 votes.
  • 1971 Lok Sabha Elections: In Fifth Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate had defeated NCO candidate by a margin of 88574 votes INC candidate Nawal Kishore Sinha had got 245007 while NCO got Mahesh Prasad Singh votes.
  • 1967 Lok Sabha Elections: In Fourth Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate defeated SSP candidate with a difference of 37229 votes. Here, Indian National Congress leader D. N. Singh attained 145929 votes and SSP candidate R. Sahni bagged 108700 votes
  • 1962 Lok Sabha Elections: In Third Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate defeated PSP candidate with a difference of 50000 votes. Here, Indian National Congress leader Digvijoy Narain Singh attained 92393 votes and PSP candidate Kanti Kumar Sinha bagged 42393 votes
  • 1957 Lok Sabha Elections: In Second Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate defeated IND candidate with a difference of 39615 votes. Here, Indian National Congress leader Shyam Nandan Sahay attained 88998 votes and IND candidate Shyam Kumar Pd. Sinha bagged 49383 votes
  • 1951 Lok Sabha Elections: In India's Very First Lok Sabha Polls, interesting battle could be seen between Indian National Congress and SP here Indian National Congress candidate defeated his SP counterpart with a difference of 2482 votes.

কেন্দ্রে বিজেপির সরকার গঠন রুখতে আসরে নামা চন্দ্রবাবু সন্ধ্যায় সমাজবাদী পার্টি নেতা অখিলেশ যাদব, বসপা নেত্রী মায়াবতীর সঙ্গেও দেখা করলেন। দুজনের সঙ্গে আলাদা বৈঠক করেন তিনি।
