Kallakurichi: In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Kamaraj. K from All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (ADMK) won the elections by a margin of 223507 votes. The polling / voting in Kallakurichi constituency in the 2019 General elections took place in Phase 2 on 18 April. The major contest is between Desiya Murpokku Dravida Kazhagam#s L. K. In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam won 37 out of the 39 parliamentary seat with 44.3 percent vote share while the Bharatiya Janata Party managed to win just 1 seats with a 5.5 percent vote share.

• 1967 Lok Sabha Elections: In Fourth Lok Sabha election, Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam candidate defeated INC candidate with a difference of 26523 votes. Here, Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam leader M. Deiveekan attained 193043 votes and INC candidate K. Parthasarathy bagged 166520 votes
