Background

Junagadh: In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Chudasama Rajeshbhai Naranbhai from Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) won the elections by a margin of 135832 votes. The polling / voting in Junagadh constituency in the 2019 General elections took place in Phase 3 on 23 April. The major contest is between Bharatiya Janata Party#s Rajeshbhai Chudasma and Congress Party#s Punjabhai vansh

Junagadh 2014 Lok Sabha Polls

In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Bharatiya Janata Party won 26 out of the 26 parliamentary seat with 60.11 percent vote share while the Indian National Congress managed to win just seats with a 33.45 percent vote share.

  • 1999 Lok Sabha Elections: In 13th Lok Sabha election, Bharatiya Janta Party candidate defeated Indian National Congress candidate with a difference of 46848 votes. Here, Bharatiya Janta Party leader Chikhaliya Bhavnaben Devrajbhai attained 266809 votes and Indian National Congress candidate Chavda Pethaljibhai Nathabhai bagged 219961 votes
  • 1998 Lok Sabha Elections: In 12th Lok Sabha election, Bharatiya Janta Party candidate had defeated Indian National Congress candidate by a margin of 90311 votes BJP candidate Chikhaliya Bhavanaben Devrajbhai had got 318667 while INC got Jora Jethalal Ranabhai votes.
  • 1996 Lok Sabha Elections: In 11th Lok Sabha poll, Bharatiya Janta Party candidate defated Indian National Congress candidate in one-sided contest. Here, BJP candidate Chikhaliya Bhavnaben Devarajbhai attained 202748 votes and INC's Shekhada Govindbhai Kanjibhai bagged 94076 votes.
  • 1991 Lok Sabha Elections: In 10th Lok Sabha election, Bharatiya Janta Party candidate had defeated JD(G) candidate by a margin of 78440 votes BJP candidate Chikhaliya Bhavenaben Devrajbhai (W) had got 195821 while JD(G) got Govindbhai Kanjibhai (Shekhada) votes.

  • 1984 Lok Sabha Elections: In 8th Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate defeated JNP candidate with a difference of 31943 votes. Here, Indian National Congress leader Patel Mohanbhai Laljibhai attained 188441 votes and JNP candidate Ramnikbhai Dhami bagged 156498 votes
  • 1980 Lok Sabha Elections: In 7th Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate defeated JNP candidate with a difference of 10781 votes. Here, Indian National Congress leader Patel Mohanlal Laljibhai attained 159923 votes and JNP candidate Shah Virendrakumar Jeewanlal bagged 149142 votes
  • 1977 Lok Sabha Elections: In Sixth Lok Sabha election, BLD candidate defeated INC candidate with a difference of 11853 votes. Here, BLD leader Nathwani Narendra Pragji attained 167567 votes and INC candidate Adani Ratubhai Mulshanker bagged 155714 votes
  • 1971 Lok Sabha Elections: In Fifth Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate had defeated NCO candidate by a margin of 54530 votes INC candidate Nanjibhai Ravjibhai Vekaria had got 107471 while NCO got Virendrakumar Shah votes.
  • 1967 Lok Sabha Elections: In Fourth Lok Sabha election, SWA candidate defeated INC candidate with a difference of 10886 votes. Here, SWA leader V.J. Shah attained 108303 votes and INC candidate C.R. Raja bagged 97417 votes
  • 1962 Lok Sabha Elections: In Third Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate had defeated IND candidate by a margin of 67690 votes INC candidate Chittaranjan Rugnath Raja had got 123288 while IND got Venibhai Purusotam Arya votes.

लोकसभा चुनाव का दूसरा चरण आज संपन्न हो गया. 12 राज्यों की 95 सीटों पर शाम छह बजे तक 66 फीसदी मतदान हुआ. इस चरण में मतदान का स्तर 2014 के लोकसभा चुनाव के दूसरे चरण की तुलना में लगभग तीन फीसदी कम है. ओडिशा और पश्चिम बंगाल में कुछ स्थानों पर मामूली घटनाओं को छोड़कर सामान्य रूप से मतदान शांतिपूर्ण रहा.

चुनाव आयोग ने जानकारी दी कि दूसरे चरण का मतदान आज संपन्न हो गया. आज के मतदान के साथ ही 14 राज्यों और केंद्रशासित प्रदेशों में मतदान की प्रक्रिया पूरी हो गई है.

शाम 5 बजे तक की वोटिंग के आंकड़े आ गए हैं और दूसरे चरण में भी अच्छा मतदान प्रतिशत देखा गया है. शाम 5 बजे तक देश में कुल 61.12 फीसदी मतदान रिकॉर्ड किया गया है. शाम 5 बजे तक पश्चिम बंगाल में सबसे ज्यादा 75.27 फीसदी वोटिंग हुई और मणिपुर में 74.69 फीसदी मतदान रहा. असम में 73.32 फीसदी लोगों ने अपने मताधिकार का इस्तेमाल किया. पुढ्ढूचेरी में 72.40 फीसदी, छत्तीसगढ़ में 68.70 फीसदी वोटिंग पर्सेंटेंज रिकॉर्ड किया गया. तमिलनाडु में शाम 5 बजे तक 63 फीसदी और कर्नाटक में 61.80 फीसदी मतदान प्रतिशत रिकॉर्ड किया गया है. बिहार में 58.14 फीसदी और उत्तर प्रदेश में 58.12 फीसदी वोटिंग देखी गई है. ओडिशा में 57.41 फीसदी मतदान की खबरें हैं और महाराष्ट्र में 55.57 फीसदी वोटिंग की खबरें हैं. जम्मू और कश्मीर में 43.37 फीसदी वोटिंग हुई है.

बिहार में शाम 5 बजे तक 58.14 फीसदी वोटिंग दर्ज की गई है और इस राज्य की 5 लोकसभा सीटें देखें जिन पर आज मतदान था तो किशनगंज में 58.72 फीसदी, कटिहार में 62.17, पूर्णिया में 62.82 फीसदी मतदान और भागलपुर में 50.70 फीसदी वोटिंग प्रतिशत की खबर आई है. इसके अलावा बांका में 56.75 फीसदी वोटिंग प्रतिशत की खबर है. उत्तर प्रदेश में शाम 5 बजे तक 58.61 फीसदी वोटिंग हुई हैं. हालांकि मतदान प्रतिशत में अभी कुछ और बदलाव देखा जा सकता है.
