Jaunpur: In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Krishna Pratap ''''''''K.P.'''''''' from Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) won the elections by a margin of 146310 votes. The polling / voting in Jaunpur constituency in the 2019 General elections took place in Phase 6 on 12 May. The major contest is between Bharatiya Janata Party#s K P Singh and Bahujan Samaj Party#s Shyam Singh Yadav

In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Bharatiya Janata Party won 71 out of the 80 parliamentary seat with 42.3 percent vote share while the Samajwadi Party managed to win just 5 seats with a 22.2 percent vote share.
