Godda: In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Nishikant Dubey from Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) won the elections by a margin of 60682 votes. The polling / voting in Godda constituency in the 2019 General elections took place in Phase 7 on 19 May. The major contest is between Bharatiya Janata Party#s Nishikant Dubey and Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (Prajatantrik)#s Pradeep yadav
Godda 2014 Lok Sabha PollsIn the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Bharatiya Janata Party won 12 out of the 14 parliamentary seat with 40.1 percent vote share while the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha managed to win just 2 seats with a 9.3 percent vote share.

Out of the 16 Lok Sabha candidates who contested the 2014 Lok Sabha elections from Godda, 13 had to deposit their security. The voters gave their mandate in favour of Nishikant Dubey of the Bharatiya Janta Party as he defeated Furkan Ansari by a margin of 60682 votes.
