Dibrugarh: In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Rameswar Teli from Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) won the elections by a margin of 185347 votes. The polling / voting in Dibrugarh constituency in the 2019 General elections took place in Phase 1 on 11 April. The major contest is between Bharatiya Janata Party#s Rameswar Teli and Congress Party#s Paban singh ghatowar

In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Bharatiya Janata Party won 7 out of the 14 parliamentary seat with 36.5 percent vote share while the All India United Democratic Front managed to win just 3 seats with a 14.8 percent vote share.

मायावती ने सुप्रीम कोर्ट के फैसले पर कहा- अयोध्या मामले का सभी पक्षों को स्वीकार्य तौर पर निपटारे के लिये माननीय सुप्रीम कोर्ट द्वारा फैज़ाबाद में बंद कमरे में बैठकर मध्यस्थता कराने का जो आदेश आज पारित किया है वह नेक नीयत पर आधारित ईमानदार प्रयास लगता है, इसलिये बीएसपी उसका स्वागत करती है.
