Bhadrak: In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Arjun Charan Sethi from Biju Janata Dal (BJD) won the elections by a margin of 179359 votes. The polling / voting in Bhadrak constituency in the 2019 General elections took place in Phase 4 on 29 April. The major contest is between Bharatiya Janata Party#s Abhimanyu Sethi and Biju Janata Dal#s Manjulala Mandal

In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Biju Janata Dal won 20 out of the 21 parliamentary seat with 44.1 percent vote share while the Bharatiya Janata Party managed to win just 1 seats with a 21.5 percent vote share.

भीषण सूखे का सामना कर रहे कर्नाटक को राहत पैकेज की मंजूरी के लिये केंद्र में नयी सरकार के गठन का इंतजार करना होगा. सूत्रों ने यह जानकारी दी. केंद्र सरकार का एक दल सूखे के कारण रबी की फसल को हुये नुकसान का आकलन कर चुका है और केंद्रीय कृषि मंत्रालय को इसकी विस्तृत रिपोर्ट सौंपी जा चुकी है.

पंजाब के कैबिनेट मंत्री और कांग्रेस के स्टार प्रचारक नवजोत सिंह सिद्धू के वोकल कॉर्ड में फिर नुकसान पहुंचा है. डॉक्टरों ने उन्हें आराम करने की सलाह दी और वह फिलहाल डॉक्टर की निगरानी में हैं. डॉक्टर की सलाह के बाद जल्द ही सिद्धू प्रचार के लिए लौटेंगे. पिछले साल दिसंबर में भी सिद्धू को इसी तरह की समस्या से जूझना पड़ा था. तब डॉक्टर ने उन्हें तेज आवाज में नहीं बोलने की सलाह दी थी.

ओडिशा के मुख्यमंत्री नवीन पटनायक ने प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी को पत्र लिखकर तूफान फोनी में हुए नुकसान की भरपाई के लिए मदद के लिए पत्र लिखकर धन्यवाद किया है. साथ ही तूफान प्रभावित पांच लाख लोगों के लिए पीएमएवाई (जी) के तहत घर बनवाने की अपील की है.

अभिनेता से नेता बने सनी देओल सोमवार को एक हादसे में बाल-बाल बच गए जब अमृतसर-गुरदासपुर राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग से गुजरते समय उनकी एसयूवी का एक टायर फट गया. पुलिस ने बताया कि सनी देओल के काफिले में चल रहे कम से कम चार वाहन एक-दूसरे से भिड़ गए. हालांकि, घटना में कोई घायल नहीं हुआ है. देओल गुरदासपुर से भारतीय जनता पार्टी (बीजेपी) और अकाली दल गठबंधन के उम्मीदवार हैं.
