Barmer: In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Col. Sona Ram from Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) won the elections by a margin of 87461 votes. The polling / voting in Barmer constituency in the 2019 General elections took place in Phase 4 on 29 April. The major contest is between Bharatiya Janata Party#s Kailash Chaudhry and Congress Party#s Manvendra singh

In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Bharatiya Janata Party won 25 out of the 25 parliamentary seat with 54.9 percent vote share while the Indian National Congress managed to win just seats with a 30.4 percent vote share.

Here, Indian National Congress leader Col. Sonaram Choudhary attained 424150 votes and Bharatiya Janta Party candidate Manvendra Singh bagged 392010 votes
  • 1998 Lok Sabha Elections: In 12th Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate had defeated Bharatiya Janta Party candidate by a margin of 85540 votes INC candidate Col.Sonaram Chowdhary had got 446107 while BJP got Lokendra Singh Kalvi votes.
