Agra: In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Dr. Ram Shankar Katheria from Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) won the elections by a margin of 300263 votes. The polling / voting in Agra constituency in the 2019 General elections took place in Phase 2 on 18 April. The major contest is between Bharatiya Janata Party#s S P Singh Baghel and Bahujan Samaj Party#s Manoj Kumar Soni

In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Bharatiya Janata Party won 71 out of the 80 parliamentary seat with 42.3 percent vote share while the Samajwadi Party managed to win just 5 seats with a 22.2 percent vote share.

• 1998 Lok Sabha Elections: In 12th Lok Sabha election, Bharatiya Janta Party candidate defeated Independent candidate with a difference of 48423 votes. Here, Bharatiya Janta Party leader Bhagwan Shankar Rawat attained 240172 votes and Independent candidate Rameshwar Singh bagged 191749 votes
• 1996 Lok Sabha Elections: In 11th Lok Sabha election, Bharatiya Janta Party candidate had defeated Bahujan Samaj Party candidate by a margin of 84568 votes BJP candidate Bhagwan Shankar Rawat had got 224935 while BSP got A.K.Maurya votes.
