Will JEE Advanced 2025 Be Postponed Amid India-Pak Tensions? Here's What We Know So Far

The JEE Advanced 2025 exam is scheduled to be held on May 18, with admit cards to be released on May 11. There has been no official announcement regarding change in exam dates.

With the JEE Advanced 2025 slated to be held in just a few days, thousands of aspirants find themselves anxious, not just due to the upcoming test, but due to uncertainty over the scheduled exam date.

The JEE Advanced 2025 exam is scheduled to be held on May 18, with admit cards to be released on May 11. However, given the escalation of tension between India and Pakistan following the military operation 'Operation Sindoor,' students have been raising concerns regarding the possibility of the exam being postponed.

India launched Operation Sindoor on May 7, targeting nine terrorist camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. The strike was launched in retaliation to the Pahalgam terror attack, which claimed 26 lives, mostly tourists. Since then, tensions have been escalating between India and Pakistan, with the latter launching a wave of missile and drone attacks on May 9. As the situation continues to escalate with India's counter strikes, students have expressed concerns over the impact on national-level exams.

Students across the country are speculating that exams like JEE Advanced and CUET UG may be rescheduled due to the onoing situation. Many even took to social media to ask whether exams might be postponed due to the current situation. However, till now, there has been no official announcement regarding any change in the exam date.

As of now, the JEE Advanced 2025 will be held as scheduled on May 18 in two shifts:

Morning shift: 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM
Afternoon shift: 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM

How To Download JEE Advanced 2025 Admit Card 

Students have been advised to rely only on the official website [jeeadv.ac.in (https://jeeadv.ac.in) for any updates and avoid rumours.

The JEE Advanced admit card will be available for download starting May 11. To download it, candidates will need their JEE Main application number and date of birth. The admit card will include the exam center, timings, and important instructions.

On the exam day, students need to carry a printed copy of their admit card along with a valid photo ID.  This could be your Aadhaar card, school ID, driver’s license, voter ID, or passport. 

As of now, JEE Advanced 2025 will take place as scheduled on May 18. There’s been no official change, so students are encouraged to stay focused on their preparation and check the official website regularly for any updates or announcements.
