WB Board Exams 2021: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has announced that the evaluation process for the students of classes 10, and 12 will be decided by the respective boards of the state on Monday, June 14, 2021. Earlier, the West Bengal government had decided to cancel the West Bengal Class 10 and 12 board examinations 2021. The decision was taken as a precautionary measure in view of the second wave of the covid-19 pandemic.
She directed the West Bengal education department to formulate an objective criterion based on which the students of West Bengal class 10 and 12 will be evaluated while keeping in mind the possible mental stress and the future of the examinees.
"The boards will come out with a decision within a couple of days on this. This is a matter of the education department," Banerjee was quoted by PTI in its report.
"I do not want the student to go through any mental stress and their future should also not be compromised. I will ask the department to decide (on the issue of evaluation) keeping these things in mind so that the students don't suffer," she added.
Note: Students are advised to keep visiting the official website of the West Bengal Board regularly for the latest updates regarding the board examinations.
