Uttar Pradesh Govt Issues Notice 'No Winter Vacation For Primary School Teachers In State' | Know Details

According to the official notice, the primary school teachers in UP government schools won’t get winter vacation this session.

The Uttar Pradesh government led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has issued a notification stating that the primary school teachers in state government school won’t get winter vacation this session, but will get the winter break from the next session, i.e. 2021-22. ALSO READ | MP School Reopening: Schools For Classes 10 And 12 Resume From Today; Check Details According to the reports, Additional Chief Secretary Education Renuka Kumar in August issued a notice on Winter and Summar vacation for primary school teachers in Uttar Pradesh as per which, the winter vacation starts from December 31 to January 14; whereas summer vacation will be from May 20 to June 15. After the summer vacation, the new academic session would commence from June 16, 2021. After remaining shut for nearly seven months since the nationwide lockdown was imposed in March this year, the schools in Uttar Pradesh resumed in October following strict COVID-19 protocol including limiting attendance in the classes to 50 per cent per day. As per the instructions, schools outside the containment zones were allowed to reopen from October 19 for students of class 9th to 12th, where it was mandatory for each student to go to school only with parental consent. Meanwhile, schools in Madhya Pradesh reopens from December 18 for classes 10 and 12 after months of being lockdown. The state government had decided to start classes for standard 10 and 12 from December 18.  The state government has also decided to start colleges from January 1. On Wednesday, the Jharkhand government also decided to resume classes for 10 and 12.  Apart from this, medical, dental, nursing colleges and government training institutes have also been allowed to reopen. Similarly, Haryana began schools for classes for 9 and 11 from December 21.
