UPSC Prelims Result 2024: Candidates who have cleared the preliminary examination are now eligible to appear for the Main examination, scheduled on September 20, 2024.

UPSC Prelims Result 2024: The Union Public Service Commission, UPSC has released the UPSC Prelims result 2024 name list. Candidates who appeared for the UPSC preliminary examination can check the name list on the official website at upsc.gov.in. The examination was conducted on June 16, 2024, at various exam centres. Candidates who have cleared the preliminary examination are now eligible to appear for the Main examination, scheduled on September 20, 2024. Over 13.4 lakh candidates appeared for the UPSC preliminary exam 2024 in two shifts, covering General Studies and the Civil Services Aptitude Test (CSAT).

“In continuation of the press note dated 01/07/2024 declaring the roll number wise result of the Civil Services (preliminary) examination, 2024 held on 16/06/2024, the name and roll number wise result of the candidates who have qualified for admission to the Civil Services (Main) Examination, 2024, is as under." the official notice reads.

To clear the UPSC CSE Prelims examination, a candidate is required to score a minimum of 33% in General Studies paper 2 and meet the overall qualifying marks in General Studies paper 1.

Candidates can follow the below-given steps to check and download the UPSC Prelims result 2024 name list:

Step 1: Visit the official website at upsc.gov.in.

Step 2: On the homepage, navigate to the 'UPSC Civil Services Prelims Result 2024 name and roll number wise' link.

Step 3: Click on that link.

Step 4: UPSC Prelims Result 2024 name list will be displayed on your screen.

Step 5: Download the name list for your future reference.

UPSC 2024: Vacancy Details

This year, 1,056 vacancies in the central government services and departments will be filled through the UPSC Civil Services examination. The vacancies are under the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), the Indian Police Service (IPS), and the Indian Foreign Service (IFS). Of the total vacancies, 40 positions are reserved for Persons with Benchmark Disability category.
