UP NEET UG Counselling 2023: Round 2 Choice-Filling Begins Today, See Details

UP NEET UG Counselling 2023: Candidates can fill and lock choices at upneet.gov.in.

The Directorate General of Medical Education and Training, Uttar Pradesh will start the choice-filling and locking process for the second round of UP NEET UG Counselling 2023 from today, August 23. Candidates will have the opportunity to enter their preferences for the state's National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) UG Counselling on the official website, upneet.gov.in. The deadline for submitting choices is August 26, until 5 pm. The results for the Round 2 seat allotment will be announced on August 28. Students who are allocated seats are required to report to the designated institutes between August 29 and September 4 to complete the admission process.

UP NEET UG Counselling 2023: Steps To Apply

To complete the choice-filling process for UP NEET UG Counselling 2023, follow these steps:

Step 1: Visit the official website: upneet.gov.in.

Step 2: On the homepage, click on the registration link for ug.

Step 3: Log in using your provided credentials.

Step 4: Select your preferred colleges from the available options.

Step 5: After making your choices, lock them in place.

Step 6: It's recommended to take a screenshot of your locked choices for future reference.

UP NEET UG Counselling 2023 Important Instructions

The Directorate has provided the following instructions regarding the choice-filling process:

  1. Seat Choices: During the second round of choice-filling, candidates have the option to choose from seats labeled as Seat Against Cancellation (SAC), along with vacant, not reported, and resigned seats from the first round. If a seat of a pre-admitted candidate in SAC is upgraded, the original seat will be allotted to another candidate based on merit and preferences.

  2. Mandatory Locking: It is compulsory for applicants to lock their choices after completing the choice-filling process. If a candidate fails to lock their choices, they will not be included in the seat allotment process.

  3. Seat Entered in First Round: Candidates are not required to reselect the seat entered during the first round while making choices for the second round. If the same seat is allocated to the candidate in the second round, they must appear again at the nodal center to complete the admission process. Failure to do so will result in the cancellation of their admission.
