UP Board Class 10, 12 Results 2020: Know Who All Are The Toppers For This Year

The overall pass percentage for class 10 is 83.31 per cent while the overall pass percentage for class 12 is 74.63 per cent.

The Uttar Pradesh Board or the Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) declared class 10 and class 12 board exam results 2020 on Saturday, June 27. The results for class 10 and class 12 were announced on the board’s official website - upmsp.edu. As per the official sources, the UP board announced the results for a total number of 56.11 lakh students. Of these, over 30.24 lakh students had taken the Class 10 UP board exams and 25.86 lakh students had taken the Class 12 UP board exams.  The UPMSP High School and Intermediate March 2020 examinations were conducted between February 18 and March 6, 2020. Deputy CM Dinesh Sharma while announcing the results said that the result of class 10, 12 exams this year is better than the previous year. According to the board, this year, the overall pass percentage for class 10 is 83.31 per cent. This is higher than last year when 80.07 per cent students cleared the exam. The overall pass percentage for class 12 is 74.63 per cent. Class 12 Toppers List:
  • Anurag Malik ranked first position with 97% marks.
  • Pranjal Singh secured the second place
  • Utkarsh Shukla has been declared as the third rank holder
Class 10 Toppers List:
  • First position in class 10 UP board exams 2020 is held by a Baghpat student Riya Jain who scored 96.67% marks.
  • Abhimanyu Verma from Lakhpera secured the second place with 95.53%.
  • Third rank in class 10 board exams is held by Yogesh Pratap Singh who scored 95.33%
The passing criteria for UP board results has not been changed. This year too, students who obtained a minimum 35 percent marks are being considered pass. If their marks are below 35 percent they will have to appear for a supplementary exam or compartment for that particular subject. This provision was only available for one paper earlier, but Deputy Chief Minister Dr. Dinesh Sharma announced late last year that students can now appear for compartment exams for two subjects.
Due to the coronavirus outbreak and keeping in mind the social distancing norms, all the students will be restricted from visiting schools to collect their UP Board mark sheets. Hence, a digital mark sheet or e-mark sheets will be made available to all the students. Board's official website often crashes due to heavy traffic soon after the announcement of results. In such a case, if students are unable to check their results, they may consider few other websites to check UPMSP Board Results 2020. The alternative websites to check UP Board Result 2020 are: upmsp.edu.in upresults.nic.in upmspresults.up.nic.in
