The University Grants Commission (UGC) has released the e-Certificates and JRF award letters of the UGC NET (National Eligibility Test) December 2023 exam. Candidates who cleared the exam can now check and download their e-certificates and award letters from the official website - ugcnet.nta.ac.in and ugcnet.ntaonline.in. Candidates will be required to login to the official website using their credentials like application number and date of birth to download their UGC NET December 2023 e-Certificates and JRF Award Letters. 

The NTA notified the release of certificates and letters through an official notice on its website. Candidates may further note that their UGC NET e-Certificates shall be valid for a period of three years from the date of issuance of the certificate. However, for those candidates who have already enrolled in a PhD programme in an institution, the date of commencement of their UGC NET PhD fellowship shall be from the date of the announcement of the UGC NET December 2023 result. 

Those candidates who have qualified for JRF (Junior Research Fellowship) will be entitled to various scholarship schemes with monthly stipends in various government departments/ organisations and higher education institutions, subject to appointment. 

Notably, the NTA conducts the UGC NET Exam twice every year to  determine the eligibility of suitable candidates for ‘Assistant professorship,’ and ‘Junior Research Fellowship.’ Earlier, the UGC NET December 2023 Examination was conducted on December 6, 7, 8, 11, 12, 13, and 14, 2023, in the online CBT (Computer based test) mode.

The exam was held at around 292 exam centres across the country. The UGC NET December 2023 Exam was held for a total of 83 subjects. Following the conduct of the exam, the NTA released the UGC NET December 2023 Result on January 19, 2023.
