UGC NET December 2020-21: Application Forms Out; Candidates Must Apply Before March 3rd | Details

National Testing Agency has released forms for UGC-NET, candidates interested in the exam can fill the forms by visiting - ugcnet.nta.nic.in

New Delhi: The National Testing Agency has released the application forms for UGC Net December 2020 session. Candidates who are interested in applying for can fill the forms by visiting the official website - ugcnet.nta.nic.in. The last date to submit the form is March 2nd 2021 and to pay the exam fee is March 3rd 2021.

Here are quick details about the form and exam:

  • The fee for the exam for the General category is Rs. 1000, for candidates under General EWS/OBC is Rs. 500 and for ST, SC, third gender and PwD is Rs. 250.
  • Between 5th March and 9th March 2021 will be correction window, candidates who submitted the form can go through the details.
  • Dates of Examination are on the dates 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 10, 11, 12, 14 and 17 May 2021.
  • The exam will be three hours or 180 minutes long and there will be two shifts - First Shift will be from 09.00 am to 12.00 pm and the Second Shift will be from 03.00 pm to 06.00 pm.
  • In order to fill the form, candidates will have to register online by using Email ID and Mobile No. and note down system generated Application Number. 
  • After the candidate completes the Online Application Form and note down the system generated Application Number. 
  • Upload the images according to the specifications and signature.
  • Pay the fee using Credit Card/ Debit Card/Net Banking & Paytm Payment.

On  the day of the exam candidates will have to carry:

  • Admit Card along with Self Declaration (Undertaking) downloaded from the NTA Website (a clear
    printout on A4 size paper) duly filled in.
  • A simple transparent Ball Point Pen.
  • Additional photograph, to be pasted on Attendance Sheet
  • Personal hand sanitizer (50 ml).
  • Personal transparent water bottle.

UGC-NET is a test to determine the eligibility of Indian nationals for ‘Assistant Professor’ and ‘Junior Research Fellowship and Assistant Professor’ in Indian universities and colleges. The selection of candidates for Fellowships of the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment and the Ministry of Minorities Affairs is also made through the UGC-NET namely - National Fellowship for Scheduled Caste Students (NFSC), National Fellowship for Other Backward Classes (NFOBC), Maulana Azad National Fellowship for Minority Students (MANF)
