The Telangana government has declared the summer vacation schedule for school students across the state, bringing clarity ahead of the peak heat season. According to the official announcement, all schools will remain shut from April 24 to June 11, 2026, offering students an extended break during the hottest months of the year.

With nearly 48 days of holidays, students can look forward to a much-needed pause from academic routines. The break is expected to provide time for relaxation, family bonding, and recovery from the busy school calendar.

Telangana Schools Reopening Date 2026 for New Academic Session

As per the latest update, schools across Telangana will close on April 24 and remain shut until June 11, 2026. This decision comes in view of rising temperatures during summer, ensuring student safety and well-being.

The early announcement has helped students and parents plan their schedules in advance, especially for travel and summer activities.

Schools to Reopen on June 12 for New Academic Session

The new academic year 2026–27 will officially begin on June 12, 2026, when schools reopen after the summer break. Students will return refreshed and prepared to begin their next class with renewed energy.

Schools are expected to resume regular academic activities immediately after reopening.

Guidelines on Extra Classes During Summer Break

While schools will remain closed, the government has allowed institutions to organise additional classes once a week if necessary. These sessions aim to help complete the syllabus on time without putting excessive pressure on students.

However, such classes are expected to be limited and conducted, keeping student comfort in mind.

Parents React to Telangana School Holiday Announcement

The announcement has been positively received by parents, who see it as a practical step considering the extreme summer conditions. Many families have already begun making travel arrangements, including booking trains and bus tickets to visit their hometowns.

Early clarity on holiday dates has also helped in planning vacations and extracurricular activities for children.

Overall, the Telangana summer holidays schedule for 2026 offers a balanced approach ensuring students get adequate rest while also allowing flexibility for academic continuity when needed.
