SSC CGL 2023 Applications To Start From April 1 On ssc.nic.in - See Details

The Staff Selection Commission has announced that the SSC CGL 2023 Application Process will start from April 1. Exam to be held in June, July 2023. Read below for more details.

The Staff Selection Commission has announced that the online registration-cum-appplication process for the SSC CGL 2023 Exam will commence on April 1 to May 1, 2023. Interested candidates will be able to submit their applications online on ssc.nic.in, during the given time period. 

The SSC had earlier announced the exam calendar of SSC Exams 2023, and the commission also stated that the SSC CGL 2023 Exam will be conducted in June and July, 2023. The Staff Selection Commission announced the commencement of the SSC CGL 2023 Application Process via its official twitter handle. 

“The online application process for the SSC CGL 2023 Exam which is scheduled to be held in June, July 2023 will commence from April 1, and end on May 1, 2023,” the commission tweeted on January 14.

SSC CGL 2023: Exam Overview

The SSC CGL Exam is an annual examination conducted every year by the Staff Selection Commission for the induction of  ‘Group B,’ and ‘Group C’ officers in various ministries and departments of the central government. 

As earlier, the SSC CGL 2023 Exam will be conducted in two tiers: Tier-1 and Tier-2. While the SSC CGL Tier-1 Exam will be an objective MCQ based written test, the Tier-2 Exam will be a three-paper examination including a skill test. 

SSC CGL 2023: Eligibility Criteria

Before applying for the SSC CGL Exam, candidates must ensure that they fulfill the desired eligibility criteria as notified by the commission. In general, candidates are required to have the following eligibility criteria for the SSC CGL Exam:

Citizenship– Must be a citizen of India, Nepal, Bhutan

SSC CGL Age Limit- Must be between the age group of 18 years and 32 years

Qualification- Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University

Besides the aforementioned eligibility criteria, candidates appearing for some specialized SSC CGL posts like inspector and sub-inspector, will also have to appear for a physical fitness test. Candidates are advised to briefly go through the detailed SSC CGL 2023 eligibility criteria on the SSC website, once the SSC CGL 2023 Applications begin from April 1.
