Schools Closed Today In UP, Uttarakhand, MP & Rajasthan Due To Heavy Rain Warning

Heavy rains in northern India have led to school closures in districts across Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, and Madhya Pradesh, with authorities taking precautions for students' safety.

Schools Closed Today: Rain continues to lash various parts of northern India, with states like Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand issuing alerts due to persistent downpours. In light of the weather warnings, several districts across these states have announced school closures.

In Uttar Pradesh, all schools across Agra have been ordered to remain closed on September 12 due to heavy rainfall warnings. District Magistrate Bhanu Chandra Goswami issued the order for the closure. Similarly, in Etah district, all schools have been shut down following a similar alert. In Bulandshahr, anticipating heavy rainfall, the District Magistrate has declared a holiday for all schools in the district. Schools in Kannauj are also closed today. 

While schools in all other districts are closed on September 12, Hathras has announced a holiday on both September 12 and 13.

In Uttarakhand, schools in districts such as Chamoli, Bageshwar, Rishikesh, and Nainital have also been closed on September 12 due to the forecast of heavy rainfall.

Rajasthan is also witnessing severe rains, leading to school closures. In Ajmer, all schools are closed on September 12, while in Dholpur, schools will remain shut until further notice due to the ongoing weather conditions.

In Madhya Pradesh, the capital city of Bhopal has announced a holiday for students from Class 1 to Class 5 due to heavy rains. Additionally, Damoh district has declared a two-day closure for schools, while Bhind, Gwalior, Niwari, and Shivpuri districts have also ordered the closure of all schools on September 12. Collectors of these districts have issued directives to ensure the safety of students amid the severe weather.

With the heavy rains showing no signs of abating, authorities across these states are taking precautions to avoid any potential hazards, ensuring the safety and well-being of schoolchildren.
