RRB JE Recruitment 2019: The Indian Railways has issued a revised vacancies list as per which the number of posts have been decreased from 14033 to 13487 now

RRB JE Recruitment 2019 application process is scheduled to begin this week on Wednesday, 2^nd January 2019; however, just before its commencement, the Indian Railways has issued a revised vacancies list as per which the number of posts have been decreased from 14033 to 13487 now. The Indian Railways had issued Advertisement Number CEN 03/2018, earlier this month on 29^th December 2018, notifying 14033 vacancies for the posts of Junior Engineer, Junior Engineer (Information Technology), Depot Material Superintendent (DMS), and Chemical & Metallurgical Assistant (CMA). As per the latest update on RRB JE Recruitment 2019 via CEN 03/2018, a total of 546 vacancies have been decreased and the revised number of vacancies stand as given below: RRB JE Recruitment 2019 – Revised Vacancy Details: Junior Engineer – 12844 Junior Engineer (Information Technology) – 29 Depot Material Superintendent (DMS) – 227 Chemical & Metallurgical Assistant (CMA) – 387 Total Vacancies – 13487 “Further, it may be noted that, category wise vacancies indicated above as well as the Railway wise and designation wise furnished as Annexure-B in the Detailed CEN published on the websites of RRBs on 29-12-2018, are provisional and may increase or decrease in total or in specific Units/Communities/Posts at a later stage depending upon the actual needs of the Railway Administration,” read the official notification that can be read here. Candidates between the age group of 18 to 33 years are eligible to apply for the posts mentioned above, provided they fulfill the below mentioned criteria: Junior Engineer: Diploma/Degree in Engineering in relevant discipline as will be issued by the RRBs. Junior Engineer (Information Technology): PGDCA/B.Sc. (Computer Science)/BCA/B.Tech. (Information Technology)/B.Tech. (Computer Science)/DOEACC 'B' Level Course of 3 years duration or equivalent from a recognized university/institute. Depot Material Superintendent (DMS): Diploma/Degree in Engineering from any discipline. Chemical & Metallurgical Assistant (CMA): Bachelors Degree in Science with Physics and Chemistry with minimum 45% marks.
