GATE 2024 Results To Be Declared On March 16: Know How To Check

The Indian Institute of Science (IISc) is slated to release the GATE 2024 Results on March 16, 2024.

GATE 2024 Results: The Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore, is all set to release the GATE 2024 Results on March 16, 2024. Candidates who appeared for the GATE 2024 exam can check their results on the Online Application Processing System portal. Candidates will be able to check their GATE Results on the official website using their login credentials like registration number and password. 

Candidates with clear the exam will be able to use their GATE scores to seek admission to Postgraduate programmes and direct doctoral programmes in Engineering/Technology/Science/Architecture in the institutions supported by the Ministry of Education and other Government Agencies. This year, around 6.8 lakh candidates reportedly appeared for the GATE 2024 exam.

GATE serves as a National level entrance exam to PG programmes at IITs and IISc. The exam is jointly conducted by IISc and seven other IITs, including IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras and IIT Roorkee. After the announcement of the GATE 2024 Results, candidates will be able to download their GATE Scorecards via the GOAPS portal starting from March 23, 2024. With this Scorecard, eligible candidates can apply for MTech programmes or PSU job opportunities through GATE.

GATE 2024 Cutoff Criteria

Candidates are required to meet the minimum cutoff criteria set by the IISc to participate in the GATE 2024 Admission process. The Cutoff criteria include two components: the qualifying cutoff and the admission cutoff. The qualifying cutoff determines the minimum score needed to pass the GATE exam, which varies across candidates category, and the admission cutoff determines the minimum score required for admission to participating institutes. Each institute sets its cutoff based on the category of candidates.

After the announcement of GATE 2024 Results, candidates will be able to follow the steps below to download their results:

Step 1: First, visit the official website at gate2024.iisc.in

Step 2: Then, on the homepage, navigate for the link that reads 'GATE 2024 Result'.

Step 3: Now, log in using the application number and password.

Step 4: GATE 2024 Results will be displayed on your screen.

Step 5: Download the result for your reference.
