DBSE 10th, 12th Results Declared, Over 99% Pass In Class 10, 12

The DBSE announced the results for the first-ever examination of Classes 10 and 12 on Monday with over 99 percent in both classes.

The Delhi Board of School Education (DBSE) announced the results for the first-ever examination of Classes 10 and 12 on Monday. The Education Minister Atishi declared the results and described it as a historic day. While announcing the class 10, 12 results, she said, “Today is a historic day as the DBSE has declared its first results for Classes 10 and 12. This is a landmark day as DBSE has set a new milestone for the education system through its unique assessment process for government schools."

In the first year of the Delhi Board of School Education (DBSE), 1,574 students successfully cleared the Class 10 board exams, while 662 students cleared the Class 12 exams. The pass percentage for Class 10 was 99.49%, and for Class 12, it was 99.25%. While announcing the results, Atishi highlighted the significant role of education in the development of a nation. She emphasized that various innovative education reforms were implemented to ensure equal access to world-class education for all children, regardless of their background. This focus on providing quality education to all students reflects the commitment to inclusive education and equal opportunities.

Atishi also highlighted the prominent focus on education by the Kejriwal government over the past eight years. Since coming into power, the government has consistently allocated the highest portion of the financial budget to education. Every year, 25% of Delhi's budget is dedicated to education, resulting in significant improvements in the quality of textbooks and uniforms. This has led to a positive shift, with many students transitioning from private schools to government schools in the last three years.

Furthermore, in the same year, the Delhi government signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the International Baccalaureate (IB) to align the curriculum and assessment process of DBSE with international standards. This collaboration with IB has contributed to designing a curriculum on par with international schools.

Established in 2021, DBSE introduced 20 schools of specialized excellence in four domains: STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics), Humanities, Performing and Visual Arts, and High-End 21st Century Skills. These specialized schools aim to encourage focused education in secondary and senior secondary classes.

Admission to Class 9 across all domains and Class 11 in the STEM domain of DBSE-affiliated schools was conducted through an aptitude test. The DBSE Secondary Certificate Assessment (SCA) was conducted in two terms, with the second term-end assessments held between March 10 and March 29 of the same year.
