Odisha Police Recruitment 2024: Constable Vacancies Increased To 2,080, Check Notice Here

The SSB of Odisha Police has increased Sepoy/Constable vacancies to 2,030 and extended the application deadline to October 30, 2024.

The State Selection Board (SSB) of Odisha Police has announced an increase in the number of vacancies for the Sepoy/Constable recruitment examination, 2024. According to a recent notice on odishapolice.gov.in, 720 additional vacancies have been added across Odisha Police battalions, bringing the total to 2,030. This is an increase from the previous count of 1,360.

In a related update, the SSB Odisha Police has extended the application deadline for Constable recruitment 2024 to October 30, allowing candidates more time to submit their forms. The original deadline was October 13, and the extension was granted in light of the Puja vacations. After the registration window closes, a correction window for the application form will be opened.

Odisha Constable Recruitment 2024 Eligibility

Candidates must have completed Class 10 with Odia as one of the subjects and should be Indian citizens of good character and sound health, free from any organic defects or physical deformities. They must be at least 18 years old and not older than 23 years as of January 1, 2024, with age relaxation available for candidates from reserved categories.

The applicant should not have more than one living spouse, although this requirement may be exempted under personal law or other valid grounds. Additionally, the candidate must be able to read, write, and speak in Odia.

Odisha Constable Recruitment 2024: Selection Process

The recruitment process will comprise four stages:

1. Computer-Based Recruitment Examination (CBRE)

2. Measurement of Physical Standards and Physical Efficiency Test

3. Driving Test

4. Medical Examination

The CBRE will consist of 100 multiple-choice questions, totaling 100 marks, and will have a duration of two hours. There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer, while unattempted questions will not incur any penalties.
