CSIR-UGC NET December 2023 Exam: Application Deadline Ends Tomorrow On csirnet.nta.ac.in

The NTA CSIR-UGC NET December 2023 Exam will be held from December 26 to 28, 2023.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will close the online registration process for the CSIR-UGC NET December 2023 Exam tomorrow, November 30, 2023. Interested candidates who are yet to apply for the exam are advised to submit their CSIR NET 2023 Applications at the earliest on the official website - csirnet.nta.ac.in. While applying for the CSIR-UGC NET December 2023 Exam, candidates from General and General-EWS/OBC (NCL) categories will be required to pay an application fee of Rs 1,100 and 550, respectively. Candidates from the SC, ST, and third-gender are required to pay an application fee of Rs 275. The application fee is nil for PwD candidates. 

Following the closure of the CSIR-UGC NET December 2023 application window though, candidates will also be given the opportunity to edit their submitted applications. The application correction window shall be hosted on the official website from December 2 to December 4, 2023. 

As per the official schedule, the CSIR-UGC NET December 2023 Exam will be held on December 27, 28 and 29. As notified, the admit cards for the exam are said to be released two days before the commencement of the exam. Therefore, candidates can expect the CSIR-UGC NET December 2023 Admit Cards by December 24, 2023.

The CSIR-UGC NET December 2023 Exam will be conducted for five subjects: Chemical Sciences, Earth, Atmospheric, Ocean and Planetary Sciences, Life Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, and Physical Sciences. The medium of the exam shall be bilingual with Hindi and English, both as the medium of the exam. 

Notably, Joint CSIR UGC NET is a test being conducted to determine the eligibility of Indian nationals for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and for Lectureship (LS) /Assistant Professor in Indian universities and colleges subject to fulfilling the eligibility criteria laid down by UGC. Online applications for JRF/NET are invited twice a year on all India basis through Press Notification of Joint CSIR-UGC NET for JRF and LS/AP.
