NEET Result 2024: NTA Clarifies Candidates Concerns, Here's What You Need To Know About Marking Scheme

NEET Result 2024: NTA clarified that they provided extra marks to some NEET UG 2024 students who had trouble with time during the NEET UG 2024 exam.

NEET Result 2024: The National Testing Agency, NTA released the NEET UG 2024 results on June 4, 2024. Since then, students and parents have been asking about the top scorers and the grace marks given. NTA clarified that they provided extra marks to some NEET UG 2024 students who had trouble with time during the NEET UG 2024 exam. They also noted that because more students performed exceptionally well this year, they adjusted the passing marks accordingly. This statement was given after people claimed that there were problems and scores were too high in the NEET UG exam 2024, which was conducted on May 5, 2024, in many places across the country and internationally.

NTA explained that extra marks were given to some students because petitions were filed in the high courts of Punjab and Haryana, Delhi, and Chhattisgarh. These petitions complained about lost exam time at certain centers during the NEET UG 2024 examination.

"The number of candidates who appeared in 2023 was 20,38,596, while the number of candidates who appeared in 2024 increased to 23,33,297. The increase in candidates naturally led to an increase in high scorers due to a larger pool of candidates," a senior NTA official said.
