NIRF Ranking 2022: IIT Madras Gets Best Institute Title, IISc Bengaluru Best University — Check Complete List

The Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, and IIT Bombay are the country's second and third best institutes.

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras was ranked first in the National Institutional Framework Ranking, which was released on Friday. The top five positions in the NIRF overall rankings have all been retained from the previous year.

For the fourth year in a row, the institute has been ranked first. In the NIRF 2020 and NIRF 2019 rankings, the IIT received 86.76, 85.31, and 83.88, respectively.

With four educational institutions from the national capital in the NIRF 2022 ranking list, Delhi has become a popular education hub. This year, the All India Institute of Medical Science in New Delhi has risen to the top ten.

The Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, and IIT Bombay are the country's second and third best institutes.

IIT Delhi and IIT Kanpur are also among the country's top five institutes.

NIRF Ranking Scheme

Teaching, learning, and resources (TLR), research and professional practise (RP), graduation outcomes (GO), outreach and inclusion (OI), and peer perception all contribute to the NIRF ranking 2022.

The inaugural rankings were announced in 2015, with only four categories, and have since grown to eleven. Based on demand, the education ministry intends to introduce a few more categories.

The rankings were announced in 2022 for the following categories: overall, universities, engineering, colleges, management, pharmacy, medical, architecture, dentistry, law, and research institutes.
