NExT 2024 To Be Held In October, Future Test Twice A Year In February And August

NExT Exam 2024: According to the official notification, future NExT examinations will be conducted twice a year, in February and August.

NExT Exam 2024: The National Commission for Indian System of Medicine, NCISM has released a notification regarding the conduct of the National Exit Test. According to the official notification, future NExT examinations will be conducted twice a year, in February and August. However, the NExT 2024 exam will be held tentatively in October. Candidates must note that NMC will release the official brochure for the exam comprising important dates and details related to the NExT exam. 

"Those interns who have not completed their internship, but qualified in the National Exit Test shall be eligible to register in State or National Registration boards only after completion of one year internship," the official notice reads.

"Foreign nationals whose medical qualification has been recognized under schedule-3 of IMCC Act, 1970 or section 36 of the NCISM Act, 2020 are eligible to appear." the official notice adds.

The NExT exam will serve multiple purposes: it will be used to grant licenses to practice medicine, determine admission to postgraduate courses, and rank medical graduates. This exam aims to ensure that all medical graduates have a consistent level of knowledge and skills. NMC NExT exam will be a single-window exit test for MBBS students to get license and practice medicine in India. The exam will be held in two stages, which will check both theoretical and practical knowledge of candidates.

NCISM has provided detailed guidelines regarding the exam. The NExT exam will have two parts: NExT 1 and NExT 2. NExT 1 is a written examination that covers various medical subjects, while NExT 2 is a practical examination that includes clinical skills and oral exam. Candidates are required to pass both exams to be eligible for medical practice and postgraduate studies.
