NEST 2024 Registration Window Opens Today; Eligibility Criteria And Other Details

NEST 2024 Registration: Interested candidates can apply online at nextexam.in.

The National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER), Bhubaneswar, and Mumbai University - Department of Atomic Energy Centre for Excellence in Basic Sciences (UM-DAE CEBS), will begin the applications for the NEST (National Entrance Screening Test) 2024 today, March 20, 2024. Interested and eligible candidates can submit their registration cum application forms for the NEST 2024 Exam on the official website - nextexam.in.

Candidates are reminded that the deadline to register and apply for the NEST 2024 Exam is May 31, 2024. After the application process concludes, applicants will have the opportunity to make corrections to their online applications during the application correction window. The timeline for the NEST 2024 Application Correction Window will be notified on the official website in due course.

As per the official schedule, the NEST 2024 Exam will be conducted on June 30, 2024, with the NEST 2024 Results expected to be released on July 30, 2024. The NEST exam paper comprises questions from four sections: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology, each carrying 50 marks. The final merit list of shortlisted candidates will be prepared by considering the best score of each candidate in the top three sections attempted.

NEST 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who have cleared the Class 12 exams or equivalent in 2022, 2023, or those appearing in 2024, regardless of category and age, are eligible to apply for NEST 2024. To be eligible, candidates must have secured a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate (or equivalent grade) in Class 12 exams from any recognised board. However, for reserved category candidates such as SC, ST candidates, and Divyang candidates, the minimum requirement is 55%.

NEST 2024 Registration: How To Apply?

- Visit the official NEST website (nextexam.in) and complete the registration process by providing the required details such as name, email address, mobile number, etc.

- After successful registration, log in using the provided credentials and fill out the application form with accurate personal, academic, and contact information.

- Upload scanned copies of necessary documents such as photograph, signature, and any other required certificates.

- Proceed to pay the application fee through the available payment modes, which may include online payment gateways, net banking, credit/debit cards, etc.

- Before final submission, review all the details entered in the application form carefully to ensure accuracy and completeness.

- After submission, a confirmation page will be generated. Candidates are advised to download and take a printout of the confirmation page for future reference.
