NEET PG 2021 Exam Date Released: National Board of Examinations Announces Exam Date. Check Date Here

National Eligibility cum Entrance Test PG 2021 exam will be held on April 18 at multiple NEET PG exam centres across the country

In a  major update for medical students, the National Board of Examinations (NBE) on Thursday announced that NEET PG 2021 exam will be conducted on April 18. The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Postgraduate, commonly known as NEET PG, will be held on a computer-based platform at various centres across the country. Here's the update on NEET PG 2021 exam 

"All students completing their internship on or before 30th June 2021 may ‘ONLY’ apply for NEET-PG 2021 on fulfilment of eligibility criteria as may be prescribed in the Information Bulletin," reads official notification by the NBE. In order to get more details related to NEET PG 2021, interested candidates can visit official websites nbe.edu.in and natboard.edu.in.

Even though the dates for NEET PG 2021 has been announced, the NBE also clearly mentioned it "might amend/defer the date of examination due to any unforeseen exigency, in consultation with the NMC and MoHFW, Govt of India."

Every year NEET PG is conducted for 10,821 Master of Surgery (MS), 19,953 Doctor of Medicine (MD) and 1,979 PG Diploma seats at 6,102 institutions. While NEET MDS is conducted for admission to 6,501 seats -50% all India quota and 50 per cent state quota in participating institutions. The duration for NEET PG exam is three hours and 30 minutes. The question paper comprises of multiple choice questions.

Although there is no detailed notification, however, as per the previous NEET PG examination pattern, candidates willing to appear for the test must have a recognised provisional or a permanent MBBS degree certificate issued by any recognised institute by the Medical Council of India (MCI). It is also important for candidates to have a provisional or a permanent registration certificate issued by the MCI or State Medical Council. The NEET PG 2021 aspirant must have completed their compulsory one-year internship on or before June 30, 2021.
