NBEMS To Conduct FMGE Exam Tomorrow; Announces Strict Guidelines For Candidates

The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has released guidelines for the FMGE Exam scheduled for tomorrow, July 6, 2024.

The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) will conduct the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) tomorrow, July 6, in two shifts (9 am to 11:30 am and 2 pm to 4:30 pm) on a computer-based platform nationwide. The Board said that the exam will be under close surveillance, and any involvement in unfair practices will be strictly addressed by NBEMS in accordance with applicable laws and guidelines.

FMGE Exam 2024 Guidelines

The Board has provided guidelines for students to follow on the exam day:
  • Print your admit card back-to-back on a single A4 size paper.
  • Arrive at the allotted test centre well in advance to avoid delays.
  • Carry all prescribed documents for verification at entry.
  • Avoid bringing prohibited items into the test centre.
  • Bring supportive medical documents if you need to use medicine or medical assistance devices inside the test centre.
  • Keep your admit card and identity proof readily available at all times inside the exam centre.
  • Avoid tattooing your fingers with henna or colors to prevent difficulties in finger biometric registration.
  • Maintain silence and discipline during the examination.
  • Raise your hand to call the invigilator if needed.
  • Cooperate with exam functionaries and follow their instructions.
  • Be cautious of unscrupulous elements promising any unfair assistance in the examination.
  • Prohibited items listed in the admit card are not allowed inside the exam centre.

  • Use of washrooms is prohibited after registration until the start of the examination. They can be used before registration or after the examination begins.
  • Water bottles and eatables are not allowed inside the exam centre, except for diabetics and pregnant women who may carry small amounts of simple sugar/food items in transparent pouches after verification.
  • Use of face masks is not allowed inside the exam centre unless supported by medical documents.
  • Do not carry any pen or pencil. No rough paper will be provided during the examination. A digital normal calculator will be available on the candidate's computer screen.
