MP School For Classes 11th-12th To Re-Open From July 26, 50% Students to Be Allowed

The CM said that the state government will soon start the process of reopening classes 9th and 10th if people continue to follow COVID-19 protocols.

School Reopening: MP CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan has announced that schools will be reopened for classes 11th and 12th from July 26. The rest of the classes will also be started after this gradually. CM Shivraj announced this during the inauguration of a Vidya Bharati building, a branch of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) in Bhopal on Wednesday.

He said, "The students have been sitting at home for too long. Markets have opened and people's daily movement has started. Children are also stepping out to go to the market. We, as the government, feel that schools should be reopened from July 26. Classes 11th and 12th will start with half capacity. The classes will be conducted on alternate days for each batch of students. One batch of students will attend classes on the first day and the second batch on the next day. Initially, schools should be held for four days a week and then for six days. If all goes well by August 15 (regarding the third wave of the pandemic), we will gradually open other classes, too. Colleges will also be reopened in a phased manner with half the capacity.

COVID-19 Cases Down to 20 Per Day
The CM said that the coronavirus situation in the state is under control and the state government is preparing for the third wave. The state government will start the process of reopening classes 9th and 10th followed by 6th to 8th (and then the primary classes) if people continue following COVID-19 protocols. The COVID-19 cases have come down to 20 per day and the cases under treatment have also come down to 250.

Due to the closure of educational institutions, students are frustrated and they now need in-person classes instead of online ones. School administrators are also facing challenges. In such a situation, the process of reopening schools has begun.
