"This is a progressive move towards inclusivity and equal opportunities. This landmark decision aims to break down barriers and create a more inclusive educational system. By providing free education, these universities are not only empowering transgender individuals, but also addressing the socio-economic disparities that often hinder their access to quality education. This initiative not only promotes equality and social justice, but also recognizes the immense potential and talent that transgender individuals possess. This is true modernization that is breaking the deep-rooted mindsets and beliefs that have held back progress in Indian society. By investing in their education, Mumbai universities are paving the way for a society where everyone has an equal chance to thrive and succeed," said Dr. Maithili Tambe, CEO, The Academy School (TAS), Pune.
